POSTS STORIES REELS

2026 has been ruthless...another member of my musical family has transitioned and jump started the grief cycle all over again...

Matt Smith was behind the mixing desk of my first band's first full length album. We were all green to the process but he held our hand along the way while kicking our asses in the studio to pull out the best takes from us as individuals and a band. He took us under his wing and generously shared his time and knowledge with a band of kids in their 20s at the beginning of careers that are now pushing 20 years.

Once he opened up 6 Sting Ranch, his door was always open. I was fortunate enough to introduce him to two monsters that I had been rocking with, @dmadnessproject and @jordanmatthewyoung.
Each hang was a masterclass that ended with him digging into his vault of instruments, giddy to hear what these two shredders could do with them. I'll never forget our hangs...

My favorite piece of advice for making music comes from him..."what's the coolest part of the song...now why isn't the rest of it that cool?"

Thank you Matt, it was an honor to learn from you and call you a friend. I'll never forget your teachings...

RIP to this OG, Grandma Jean...she was our back fence neighbor and adopted grandmother. She made it all the way to 94 and had 6 years of being a G-ma to Otto, who was the love of her life. We had been taking care of her since the snowstorm in 2021 and she quickly became a part of our family. After installing a gate between our yards, Otto would spend afternoons together with her, just the two of them doing who knows what and the joy he brought to her added years to her life... according to her.

I'm gonna miss breakfast taco mornings and talking about how amazing our baby is. I'm gonna miss your laugh and the moments of you and Otto busting a gut. I'm gonna miss the stories you shared and sharing photos and stories about our life which you were so fascinated by. Gonna miss you Grandma Jean, I'm grateful for the time we spent together and for the relationship you and Otto had...we love you dearly and you live on in our hearts and memories💔 by @digdugfresh

Devastated by the news of @bigmicpereida transitioning to the other side 💔 He was a master of his craft, his flow never ended. A community leader that inspired and uplifted the central TX hip hop scene, he took no days off!!!

Big Mic, it was an honor to rock with you...always eager to cook w/ Beets and bring freestyle that came from the heart

Condolences to his family, friends, and his crews @chhk512 & @purplebeetv he is alive in us all
