Ese 'otro cine español' que triunfa en festivales internacionales tiene en 'Anoche conquisté Tebas' de #GabrielAzorín uno de sus títulos más celebrados en los últimos meses. El fin de semana podemos verla en @teatenerife.
Unas termas romanas han aparecido tras pasar mucho tiempo bajo el agua de un embalse y gente de todas las edades acude a pasar el día. Hay algo misterioso en ellas, como si el agua influyera en el estado de ánimo de los chicos, dándoles el valor de decir cosas que nunca han contado a nadie.

Nueva selección para 'Mujer con flores' de @jonaygm. Esta vez ha sido en el Hendaia Film Festival, que se celebra en la localidad francesa.
El festival comienza hoy y se extiende hasta el próximo domingo, 18 de octubre.

'Woman with Flowers' by Jonay García has earned a new selection. On this occasion, it took place at the Hendaia Film Festival, held in the French town of Hendaye.
The festival begins today and runs until next Sunday, October 18.

La #MuestraIbértigo, que organiza @vertigocine, abre su edición 2026 con el cineasta uruguayo #FedericoVeiroj como invitado. Habrá dos sesiones, mañana y el viernes, para disfrutar de sus largometrajes 'Cara a cara' (2025) y 'Belmonte' (2018), acompañado de los cortometrajes '31 de diciembre' (1996) y '6 de enero' (2001), respectivamente. Conduciendo la conversación con Veiroj estará el compañero @jonaygm.
La cita es en la @casadecolongc, a partir de las 19:00, con entrada libre.

Ibértigo Film Showcase, organized by the Vértigo Film Association, kicks off its 2026 edition with Uruguayan filmmaker Federico Veiroj as a guest. Two sessions, tomorrow and Friday, will offer the chance to enjoy his feature films "Face to Face" (2025) and "Belmonte" (2018), accompanied by the short films "December 31" (1996) and "January 6" (2001), respectively. Jonay García will lead the conversation with Veiroj.

Hasta el 24 de enero de 2027, puede visitarse en las salas temporales de la @fundacionantonioperez del Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de #Cuenca la exposición ‘Manolo #Millares, rebelde’, una muestra que conmemora el centenario del nacimiento del artista canario Manolo Millares Sall (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1926-Madrid, 1972).
La exposición reúne obra variada que refleja
su compromiso político y su profundo sentimiento anticlerical así como su experimentación con todas las posibilidades del arte contemporáneo.

The exhibition ‘Manolo Millares, Rebel’, which commemorates the centenary of the birth of the Canarian artist Manolo Millares Sall (Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, 1926 – Madrid, 1972, is on view in the temporary galleries of the Antonio Pérez Foundation at the Cuenca Contemporary Art Center until January 24, 2027.
The exhibition brings together a diverse body of work that reflects
his political commitment and deep-seated anticlerical sentiment, as well as his experimentation with the full range of possibilities offered by contemporary art.

Ha muerto la actriz #EvaMarieSaint. Óscar a la mejor actriz protagonista por 'La ley del silencio' (#EliaKazan, 1954), participó en películas como 'Un sombrero lleno de lluvia' (#FredZinnemann, 1957), 'Con la muerte en los talones' (#AlfredHitchcock, 1959) o 'Éxodo' (#OttoPreminger, 1960).
En su madurez, realizó destacados trabajos en TV, tanto en telefilmes como en series. DEP.

Actress Eva Marie Saint has died. Winner of the Oscar for Best Actress for "On the Waterfront" (Elia Kazan, 1954), she appeared in films such as "A Hatful of Rain" (Fred Zinnemann, 1957), "North by Northwest"* (Alfred Hitchcock, 1959), and "Exodus" (Otto Preminger, 1960).
Later in her career, she delivered notable performances on television in both TV movies and series. RIP.

#Tambiénhace20años #Eurovisión amenazaba con implosionar con la victoria de un grupo de monstruos finlandeses adoradores del 'hard rock'. El 'Hard Rock Hallelujah' de #Lordi, tampoco era tan 'hard', pero sí que suponía una pequeña revolución para un festival siempre necesitado de novedades. El certamen no se autodestruyó y, vistos los acontecimientos recientes, fue una pena...

Lordi’s "Hard Rock Hallelujah" wasn't actually all that "hard," but it did represent a minor revolution for a festival always in need of something new.
