Wrote a bunch of lines this week during a burst of anxious brain noise and was swamped with emotions, (can you guess a few songs I took some inspo from? Hehe). Not 100% sure if it’s all meant to go together but here are the pages 🤍 I like the latter half.

Full Transcription:

Half hearted love don’t find me.

Hurting feels good when alone.
I won’t run away this time.
Even when I get bored.
I promise.

Reading books about love and wondering where it is.
Until I meet you I’ll run wild.
Heated eyes turn cold when I detach from your love.
I leave you to yours and escape the feeling of dread.

Don’t turn to me when you need to cry.
When you look at me I see your lies.
Two hands hold my dreams.
Be there for me the way wind sways trees.

Pierce me deeply with your hate and I’ll ensure blood feeds the ground.
Growing a garden from sadism to feed the crowd.
Patiently I long for your gaze.

Autumn comes and goes again.
Winter leaves me cold again.
Yearning to know your leafless stems when the sun comes out at night.
I’m trapped in the couch.
Cushions soften the harsh harsh world and make sure my fragile bones don’t break.
Mid May comes and goes again, I lay beside my shadow and paint the fabric red.

Why why why, sigh.

Embroidering my skin with things I’ve seen.
Ink and thread create the scene.
Placing needles in my feet to ground the pain I’ve felt from war.
I open up my heart to hear life’s breath leave my jaw.

Take a picture of the sky to remember you’re home.

Gypsy girls take their time in bed, leaving when rushed they stay with the dust.

I remain the silent type.

We all go back to it. We all come from it. The essence that seeps through the cracks. The whispers that sink into grooves and moves our breath till we’ve got the knack. Swirls and whirls of light, little brittle bustles of banter. In and out and up and down. Round and round and round. We all go up, we all come down.
