POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

I was reading a magazine article about Okinawa last weekend, cup of tea, Sunday morning, and I couldn't stop thinking about how much of it applied to running a small business.

The idea of nuchigusui, food as life medicine, made me think about how we choose our clients and price our work. The concept of ikigai, a reason to get up, made me think about purpose and what we'd keep doing even if we earned a little less.

I turned it into a blog post. Six pillars, translated for small business owners.

If you're building something and it's starting to feel more draining than energising, this one might be worth a read.

Designing websites for people who don’t want to think about websites.

I’ve just shared a new blog post about calm, considered web design — and why clarity, restraint, and thoughtful choices often matter more than speed or trends.

If you value doing things properly, at a human pace, this might be a good read for you.

✨ Happy Holidays from Digitally Spruced ✨

As the year settles into its winter pause, I just wanted to say thank you — for following along, supporting my work, liking, sharing, and being part of this little corner of the internet throughout 2025. It truly means a lot.

It’s been a year of creativity, learning curves, thoughtful projects — and the occasional “why is this not aligning” moment (best left in 2025).

I’m really looking forward to what 2026 has in store — more meaningful design, calmer digital spaces, and ideas that feel thoughtfully spruced and quietly joyful.

Wishing you a cosy, sparkling holiday season and a bright start to the new year ✨
See you on the other side 🎄🥂

It highlights their wonderful work promoting botanical and horticultural education across the Isle of Wight — the back page isn’t shown here as it’s the standard membership form for new members.
