When we see “internet of things”, let’s make it an internet of beings.
When we hear “the singularity is near”, let us remember: the Plurality is here.

“AI must not divide us with outrage.” What if technology helped us work through our differences? For Right Livelihood Laureate Audrey Tang @digitalminister.one, disagreement can be a source of change. In her Award acceptance speech, she reflects on Taiwan’s hard-won freedoms and why people must remain at the heart of technology. As she puts it: “We the people are the true superintelligence.” Ahead of the 2026 Laureates announcement, we’re revisiting messages from last year’s recipients — and what drives their work 🤝 Who will join them this year? Find out on September 30! by @digitalminister.one

What if privacy wasn't the enemy of innovation? What if it was the reason innovation succeeds? Audrey Tang argues that protecting people's privacy creates better data - not worse. Because trust changes everything. 🎙 In Episode 30, host Tanisha Raffiuddin sat down with Audrey Tang - Taiwan's Cyber Ambassador at Large and one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in AI - at SXSW London 2026. We're told smart cities are the future. Audrey Tang sees a risk: a city that becomes smarter than its citizens. Luring us in like a feed. Extracting our data. Extracting us from our communities. Until we're running like hamsters on a wheel - faster and faster, going nowhere. The alternative vision is Assistive Intelligence: technology that works like a campfire. Nobody just stares at it. It illuminates our faces and brings people together. Because technology shouldn't pull us out of our communities. It should bring us back to them. 🎙 In Episode 30, host Tanisha Raffiuddin sat down with Audrey Tang - Taiwan's Cyber Ambassador at Large and one of TIME's 100 Most Influential People in AI - at SXSW London 2026. by @digitalminister.one
“The cyberspace, like any conflict region, there are people waging peace — and people can free the future together.” Democracy does not fail because of technology. It fails when the people it serves are not allowed to steer it. Taiwan’s Audrey Tang @digitalminister.one is showing that technology can strengthen democracy rather than divide it, creating spaces where communities can listen, collaborate, and find “uncommon ground” across differences. 👉 Take a deep dive with Audrey, a 2025 Right Livelihood Laureate, as she explores how collective intelligence, trust, and digital participation can help shape more inclusive and resilient societies!
