Hello! Very excited to share that I will soon be back in the big apple for the @tribeca screenings of Daddy’s Little Meatball. For all New York friends and creatives, I will be there from the 3rd of June till the 18th. So stoked once again to have been part of such an amazing project and have such an epic community of people to work along side to make it happen. Fun announcements to come.

The Moon Has Ascended Upon Us is an immersive installation combining projected animation, motion-sensor interaction, sculpture, and sound design. Drawing inspiration from the ocean, the sun, and the moon, the work explores cycles of renewal, rhythm, and transformation within nature.
Featuring an original soundscape by Rory Vagg, the exhibition reflects the gravitational dialogue between the moon and the sea.
Move your hands before the light and dark sides of the sculpture to activate the motion sensors, revealing an evolving world of image, movement, and sound.

Digital Network (he/him) is the dancefloor alias of Merrick Craven, a Melbourne-based composer, producer, and selector whose practice moves freely between the concert hall, the dance studio, and the dancefloor.

Digital Network draws from the acid, electro, and house lineage with a bias toward the mutant and the machine-made. Sets trace a restless path through bubbling 303 workouts, broken electro and acid rhythms, and deep functional house that keeps a room locked without ever telegraphing its next move. Primitive synthesis and early dance music sit at the core; everything else is fair game.

The sensibility is grounded in serious study. Immersing himself in Melbourne’s venues, warehouses, and art spaces during his Bachelor of Music (Hons.) at the University of Melbourne, Merrick mapped the connective tissue between the city’s underground subcultures, finding the same DIY restlessness in its present-day electronic scenes as in its post-punk past.

Outside the alias, he has scored contemporary dance, performed live electronics at the Melbourne Fringe Festival, and placed work with Universal Music Group.

THE CIRCUIT IN BETWEEN is a new Melbourne-based trio, with members Lili Wymond, Lachlan Rae and Merrick Craven, making their debut live performance at Paradise Plains.

Having known each other for years, these three have finally banded together, driven by a shared desire to create moody and atmospheric textures through a mix of warping synths, pulsing beats and vivid instrumentation.

Blending the hypnotic nature of Trip-Hop, Dub and Electronica with the momentum of Krautrock and Acid House, THE CIRCUIT IN BETWEEN is sure to keep your afternoon rolling, ramping you up for the night of music ahead ✨

✨ Introducing our sound designer… Merrick Craven! ✨

Merrick Craven is a Melbourne-based composer working across film, contemporary dance, and multimedia projects. His practice moves fluidly between experimental, electronic, and acoustic styles, shaped by years of composing and performing throughout Melbourne’s diverse music scenes.

A few thoughts on the work from Merrick ~

He has thoroughly enjoyed working on this latest project, with Aimee bringing an openness to ideas and a genuine curiosity for experimental practice that created space for true creative freedom. A particular highlight was being introduced to Doreen Ooi, who recorded both vocals and viola, adding a beautiful depth to the work. He’s excited to see it all come together at Adelaide Fringe.

This project has been generously supported by the Adelaide Fringe Foundation, Australian Dance Theatre and Create SA, Geelong Arts Centre, Glen Eira City Council and City of Port Phillip.
