Heyyy… so I’m the social media manager behind all of the hair replacement reels you’re probably seeing right now on your socials🤪 100,000+ followers in 6 months,without building a content strategy around “selling more hair replacements.” When I started working with Mane Tailor’s, we shifted away from constantly pushing the service and started looking into the pull content theory instead. Content that made people stop, content that showed what hair replacement could actually mean for someone, and content that sparked questions. And once those questions started coming in, we listened. “What happens when it grows out?” “Can you wash it normally?” “Will it damage the hair underneath?” “How do I learn to do this?” Those questions became the strategy. Since then, the content we’ve created has reached 100M+ people on Instagram, 20M+ on TikTok and Facebook, and grown the brand by 100,000+ followers across platforms in six months. But the most interesting part isn’t the numbers, it’s that the content didn’t just attract women who wanted the solution. It attracted stylists who wanted to learn from Rachael too. And that’s what I think is so powerful about social media. When you do it right, it doesn’t just show you how big your business could become doing what you do now. If you’ve seen this Reel format everywhere and thought “how the hell have they made that?” … it’s actually SO easy. And if you’re a hair or beauty business, this is one of those trends that actually makes sense for your content because you’re not just showing the final result. You’re showing the journey to it. One appointment can give you everything you need: Consultation → prep → treatment → finishing → result Before → colour → foils → wash → reveal Bare nails → prep → application → nail art → finished set And those little timestamps give people a reason to keep watching because they want to see how the appointment progresses and, most importantly, how it ends. You don’t need to film anything specifically for it either. If you already take little clips throughout your appointments, you probably have everything you need sitting in your camera roll. Hair + beauty business owners, Instagram just made one of the most time-consuming types of content SO much easier… but hid the feature where you’d probably never find it. Carousels are one of the easiest ways to turn what you already know into content people can actually save, share and learn from, without needing another Reel, another trending audio or another hour filming yourself talking to camera. And now you don’t even need to leave Edits to make them!!🙏🏻🙏🏻 Once you’ve switched on Carousel Editor in Labs, you can take the photos and videos already sitting in your camera roll, add your text and turn them into posts like: • Consultation → process → result • The 5 questions clients ask you every week • A transformation + exactly what you did • 3 things you wish clients knew before booking • Treatment/service comparisons • One result + why you made the decisions you did Here’s the bigger tip: stop thinking every carousel needs to be a beautifully designed Canva graphic. Your knowledge is the value. The design just needs to make it easy to consume.And the easier your content is to create, the more likely you are to actually stay consistent with it. Save this before you forget where Instagram hid the setting.
