Wed, 21st Oct, join Sofia’s Mic for an intimate glimpse into @thelmarosemusic next album, currently titled Norm:al, exploring themes of sound, machine and voice as sites of survival, identity and speculative becoming.

“Thelma Rose” is a singer, songwriter, multidisciplinary artist, and researcher.
Half of the Lynchian art-noise duo Digital Roses (@digitalrosesmusic), who was praised by Electronic Sound for their “ravishing avant-pop”, in her solo work, Thelma Rose blends bluesy vocals, experimental electronics and atmospheric sound in intimate performances.
Her haunting, soul-lamenting vocals create an experimental, atmospheric sound through which she shares her thoughts with vulnerability. Her practice is rooted in music’s power to release feelings: to create sound for what is held inside, to turn emotion into a shared experiences.

🕛 Wed 23rd Sept, 6pm
📍 HJA, 180 N Gower St, London NW1 2NB
