After a year… I finally went home. 🇮🇳❤️

A surprise visit to India, a thousand emotions, and memories I’ll carry forever.this 🥹

I had imagined my parents’ reaction a hundred times, but nothing could prepare me for the moment I actually saw them. I had tears in my eyes—not because I was sad, but because for a few moments, everything I had been carrying disappeared. The pressure. The struggles. The loneliness. The overthinking. Everything. Because I was home. ❤️

Back to being pampered by Amma and Nanna, fighting over silly things, laughing, crying, eating Amma’s food and simply being their daughter again. I had missed all of it more than I could ever explain.

And then came the happiest part of this trip—my sister’s wedding. 👰🏻‍♀️❤️

Bava, we are truly blessed to have you in our lives. Thank you for choosing my sister, loving her and becoming such a beautiful part of our family. It feels like all our prayers were answered. ❤️

Amidst all the wedding chaos, I barely had the time to say everything I felt to my family. But maybe I didn’t need words. These moments said enough, and I’ll cherish them forever. This one month in India was one of the happiest chapters of my life. ❤️

And then came the second goodbye—the one nobody warns you about.

We cried. I cried. They cried. When I walked towards the airport, I didn’t turn back. Not because I didn’t want to, but because I knew if I did, I wouldn’t have the strength to leave. I didn’t want them to see me cry.

Now I understand why the second send-off hurts more. The first time, you’re excited about the life waiting for you. The second time, you know exactly what you’re leaving behind—your home, parents, people, comfort, happiness. And you realise that no matter how much you love the life you've built abroad…a part of your heart will always belong to home. ❤️

When my little sister Monika came all the way from the UK for my wedding, I honestly didn’t realise how much her presence would mean to us. ❤️

From the wedding preparations to everything that happened after, she stood by me through every little thing. She went through so many struggles just to be there for my wedding, and even after the wedding, no matter what happened, she never left my hand—not even for a second.

There were so many people around me during the wedding, but if Monika hadn’t come, there would still have been a little something missing. Her presence brought a different kind of happiness and warmth. For me and my partner, having her around was genuinely one of the happiest parts of that time. She truly felt like our little lucky charm. 🥹❤️

And then, just when we got used to having her around, she had to leave again. It feels so quiet without you here.

Thank you for everything you did, for standing beside me, for making our days happier, and most importantly, for never letting me feel alone.
