Okay, serious question:

If cannabis is legal where you’re leaving AND legal where you’re going…

should bringing a personal-use amount across the border still be illegal? 👀🌿

Because I understand why international drug trafficking laws exist.

But I also think there’s an interesting conversation to be had about what those laws look like in a world where cannabis legalization is spreading across jurisdictions.

Should there eventually be a legal framework for personal-use cannabis travel between legal jurisdictions?

Should the border remain a hard NO regardless?

Would it create way too many enforcement problems?

Or is this simply one of those rules that makes perfect sense legally, but feels bizarre to the average Canadian consumer?

I genuinely want to hear both sides on this one.

Legal doesn’t always mean covered. 👀🌿🏠

And THAT is exactly why I keep making this series.

Eight years into legalization and there are still these weird little intersections between cannabis and regular Canadian life that nobody really talks about until suddenly… you need to know.

So home growers, I’m curious:

Did you tell your insurance company you grow cannabis?

Insurance brokers, adjusters, landlords and real estate people, GET IN HERE. 👇

What should Canadians actually know before putting four perfectly legal plants in their home?

And please don’t panic.

Nobody said your four plants automatically cancelled your insurance.

But maybe read the document you’ve been paying thousands of dollars for and have absolutely never opened. 😂

Happy World Cannabis Tourism Day. 🌿✈️

Some people are waiting for cannabis tourism to become a thing.

Some of us have been quietly building it.

Through campgrounds, hotels, restaurants, local businesses, legal retailers, tourism operators and communities that took a chance on something that didn’t exactly come with a blueprint.

There are still a LOT of doors Canada needs to open.

But I know one thing for damn sure:

Cannabis tourists are already here.

The experiences are already happening.

The economic impact is already happening.

The culture has BEEN here.

And the people doing this work don’t need a trophy to prove it exists. 🏆😉

So today I want to hear from YOU:

If Canada actually embraced cannabis tourism, what would you travel for?

A cannabis resort? Farm tour? Culinary weekend? Consumption lounge? Festival? Summer camp? 👀

Tell me what your dream Canadian cannabis vacation looks like.

Because maybe the future of cannabis tourism isn’t something we’re waiting for.

This industry is hard as fuck. Paving a lane where there wasn’t one? Even harder.

And sometimes you’re so busy figuring out the next thing that you forget to look at what you’ve already done. The problem you solved. The person who felt welcome because you thought about their experience. The day you wanted to quit and showed up anyway.

Nobody may call your name for those moments.

They still count.

So take a second and look at your own shelf. Be proud of yourself. Tell the people building beside you that you’re proud of them too.

We’re all out here collecting trophies nobody will ever hand us. 🏆

Health Canada basically just admitted some of the paperwork might be… a little much. 👀🌿

So I have a question for the people actually working inside legal cannabis:

If you could delete ONE completely unnecessary piece of cannabis red tape tomorrow, what would it be?

And consumers, I want you in this too. What rule have you encountered that made you go, “Wait… WHY is that a thing?”

Because simplifying regulation doesn’t have to mean compromising safety.

Sometimes it just means asking whether the rule is actually doing what we made it for.

Okay, I already know this comment section is going to be VERY normal about this. 😂🌿

Eight years into legalization, Canada has a legal cannabis industry doing billions in sales…

and a legacy market that clearly did not disappear.

So instead of arguing about which side is “better,” I want to ask a more useful question:

Why?

What does the legacy market still offer that some consumers feel they aren’t getting legally?

Price? Quality? Edible potency? Product selection? Relationships? Convenience? Culture? Something else?

And on the flip side, what has the legal market actually gotten RIGHT?

Legacy consumers, legal consumers, budtenders, growers, retailers, OGs…

I want everybody at the table for this one.

Legal cannabis has lore, and today’s file has pesticides, recalls, unannounced inspections and one chemical name sent directly from hell.

Myclobutanil.

We are simply going to ignore how many times I had to re-record myself saying that. What matters is that I said it correctly eventually. Allegedly. 😂

This case helped change how federally regulated cannabis is tested in Canada, but how many consumers ever heard about it?

Cannabis + driving is one of those topics where legal consumers, legacy consumers, police, lawyers and regulators can all be standing in the same room having four completely different conversations.

And before we even get to impairment…

Did you actually know there are rules about where cannabis can be stored in your vehicle?

Because apparently a LOT of us need to talk about this.

So I want the honest answer:

Do you think cannabis consumers actually understand the driving and transportation laws in their province? Or are most people just doing what they’ve always done? 👀👇

Normalize knowing your tolerance without turning it into your competitive sport. 😂🏆🌿

There is no Cannabis Olympics.

There is no podium.

Nobody from the IOC is coming.

I’m curious though: do you think cannabis culture has accidentally taught us that consuming MORE means you’re a more experienced consumer?

Be honest. Were you told legalization would make teen cannabis use skyrocket?

Because the newest data is not cooperating with that prediction.

So I want to know: what actually protects young people better?

Prohibition and fear-based education?

Or regulated adult access, strict ID checks, and honest conversations about cannabis?

Because this conversation came up in the Breakfast Club this morning and the more we talked about it, the more I was like… wait a fucking minute.

What did you actually do?
