March 13th is National Good Samaritan Day, a day to encourage kindness and selflessness, helping those in need. ♥️

You may chose to honor National Good Samaritan Day by:

🫱🏽‍🫲🏾Volunteering for a local nonprofit,

👥Extending a kind act towards strangers (helping someone carry a heavy load, opening a door for another, paying for the person behind you in the drive thru)

📣Publicly acknowledging the selfishness and compassion of another

On this day, we honor our own dignity by being the best version of ourselves, and caring stewards of our communities.

💌Valentine’s Teacher Tip: Normalize All Feelings

Some students may feel excited; others may feel left out, grieving, or overwhelmed.

🗣️Name this out loud:

“Valentine’s Day can bring up lots of different feelings — all of them are okay.”

Validation of where students are, and all of the ways they can feel, protects dignity and builds trust.
