Yes, Liborio was a Punk.

My first approach to punk was after listening to the first #Ramones LP, their self-titled debut album, and the #sexpistols Never Mind the Bollocks, records that arrived at home thanks to my older brother, a huge fan of American rock and folk music. I became obsessed, thinking that punk was just a musical expression.

But after watching a RAI documentary called ODEON (Tutto quanto fa spettacolo) that covered the subject, I realized it was an artistic movement linked to fashion, art and music, and that everything had a meaning — from the safety pin to the chains, to the colored hair, to every rip.

I was about 15, it was the 80s. It was the time of the Art Institute. There was no internet yet, and everything was driven by curiosity and a hunger for knowledge — fashion, aesthetics, music — absorbed through stories, word of mouth, travels and dedicated magazines.

I cut my hair myself and made it spiky with dry soap. In this picture I was with my friend Emily, who was also in love with the movement.

I was wearing a #Seditionaries by #viviennewestwood Westwood parachute jacket, bought from an older friend who had been to London, while Emily was wearing a jersey mini dress with tire tread prints by OAKS by #Gianfrancoferre (a premonitory sign?).

For the FOA 2026 edition [Fashion Open Air], diLIBORIO presents “The Gate”, a collectio made of iconic pieces drawn from different seasons.
In this imagined scenario, a horde of asexual cyborgs from another dimension, through a space-time portal, seize diLIBORIO garments taken from different collections and seasons. Stripped of their original meaning, the pieces are reimagined and reassembled in a new direction as a final destination.
Worn by these hybrid figures, suspended between human and artificial, the garments lose the context for which they were conceived and acquire a new identity.
Through this journey, the collection reflects on the reinterpretation of the past and present, projected into the future.
