This is still feels like a dream, one that I can't stop thinking about even still. The film releases on 12th June, by then I hope to find the right words to articulate my experience of being on set, fully immersed in the world of Imtiaz Ali. Till then enjoy 'Maskara' from Main Vaapas Aaunga, where I share the frame with Vedang Raina. :)❤️

As far as my eyes could go, they only saw the tiranga on the big screen.

Every independence day or republic day I think about this production, I look back at these pictures, I reminisce about this scene and singing the national anthem, with the entire audience present here.

Ever since then my patriotism always manifests itself through the memories of this production, even in the movie theatres when I stand up for the national anthem and see the tiranga on the big screen I find myself back on this very stage looking at the tiranga in all it's glory on the big screen.

silly point productions came to dps chandigarh and gave me the opportunity to play Gandhi in their musical 'Gandhi: Ek Soch', little did I know I would meet them again all these years later in a nest full of cuckoos and an ensemble of the most brilliant actors I've seen, running riot across Mumbai last year. And now we're back for the second season!

Burnt out from the work in Mumbai, I arrived in Chandigarh with my wheels fallen off,
I woke up next morning to Prakriti's message on instagram, she had seen my mandatory Chandigarh airport instagram story.
She asked me if I was free on the 3rd, 4th and 5th october to come for a protest scene shoot, and the rest as they say is "his-story" (his as in the great Imtiaz Ali's) and me being a part of it any and every way I could be.
At Mohindra College, I genuinely felt like I had travelled back in time, I felt like a thread, part of a warm sweater which was being knit in real time, watching the immaculate performances of sharvari, vedang raina and all my fellow co actors, experiencing it all, truly feeling like I was in 1947 Sargodha much like the present day Keenu on his hospital bed. The 7th grader Diljeev who didn't miss a chance to perform at morning assemblies in school would definitely not believe this, dreaming and seeing the dream come true at the hands of my favourite and one of the greatest storytellers of our time.❤️

This overcast morning at Mohindra College, Patiala when the trophy winning picture shot was taken, became the heart of this core memory for me. The fierce winds, college students actually playing cricket on the field behind the camera.
I remember myself specifically trying to figure out my sitting pose here and @imtiazaliofficial noticing this with a smile :)
I'm immensely happy and honoured to be a part of this film, this sequence and especially this beautiful punjabi folk and jazz fusion song.
