It started in the dark.
No shortcuts, no turnkey crew. Just late nights figuring out DMX protocols, mapping light fixtures frame by frame, testing audio frequencies, and mixing transitions until sunrise.
I didn’t just want to be the guy who shows up with a flash drive and plugs into someone else’s stage. I wanted to build the entire atmosphere from scratch. From running the first power cable and calibrating the lighting fixtures to reading the energy of a live crowd and guiding them into the night.
Step by step, trial by error. Teaching yourself everything isn’t the easy path, but when you look back and see an idea turning into a complete, living experience — every late hour proves its worth. Believe in the craft and build your own vision.
What project or passion are you currently building from the ground up? 👇
✨🎧 #djjourney #selfthought #soundswitch #djlighting #behindthedecks by @dimaminka

For me, playing a set is never just about turning up with gear and pressing play.

Before every single gig, I scout the venue. I study how the natural light falls at dusk, how the sound reflects off the stone or dissolves into open air, and where the energy will naturally gather. The beauty, architecture, and raw conditions of the space dictate everything: the track selection, the lighting design, and the pacing of the evening.

These four different winery venues each demanded a completely unique approach. Which setting resonates with you the most?

1️⃣ Intimate Home Boutique — cozy stone yard, hidden backyard atmosphere, candles, and slow deep conversations.
2️⃣ Industrial Space — raw modern architecture, open concrete space, high energy, and a bustling crowd.
3️⃣ Regional Estate — lush green canopy, massive heritage trees, string-art stages, and golden hour shifting into pure rhythm.
4️⃣ Right in the Vines — shaded groves under ancient trees, picnic blankets, and endless vineyard rows.

Drop your number below: 1, 2, 3, or 4? 👇

When "slow down" meets the groove 🍷🔥
Last time, I shared how I build an intimate sunset space: local wine, warm candlelight, and hypnotic Organic House where time simply fades away.
At my recent session at @daltonwinery, we took things in a different direction. And it turned into such a great experiment.
An early sunset lineup, right as the golden hour began to wash over the hills of Galilee. What started as a mellow winery afternoon smoothly shifted into party territory. I decided to inject some driving groove — layering Afro and Ethno House, throwing architectural uplighting onto the heritage tree behind the stage, and completely transforming the venue's mood.
People were still trickling in, the dancefloor was just waking up, but that exact contrast — a deep, heavy beat resonating across peaceful vineyard hills — felt incredible. It stepped outside my usual sunset format, but the vibe was 100% worth it.
Which side moves you more: getting lost in the golden hour under a slow ambient drift, or locking into a solid rhythm as dusk turns to dark?
מוזיקה טובה, יין מקומי ושקיעה גלילית שנכנסת לקצב אחר לגמרי 🍇✨

Buying high-end DJ gear hurts your wallet. Dropping it on the road hurts your soul. 💀🎛️
If you’ve ever invested serious money into a standalone controller, you know that mini heart attack every time you pack up for an outdoor gig or load the trunk.
Years ago, I ordered this flight case directly from the official @udggear store. Looking back, it’s lowkey the best purchase I’ve made.
Here’s why it’s a cheat code for mobile setups:
1. Zero anxiety: You don’t stress about sudden bumps, dust, or drunk people around the booth. It’s a tank.
2. 2-in-1 workstation: It doesn’t just sit in the corner after unboxing — it literally becomes the solid performance stand for the entire night. Open lid, plug in, start playing.
3. The honeycomb aesthetic: Looks sharp on camera and keeps the whole stage looking clean and professional.
Road-tested across private villa parties, hills, and sunsets. Still feels and locks like day one.
Massive respect to @udggear for keeping our expensive gear alive. 🫡🔥 #udggear #udg #djgear #denondj #djsetup by @dimaminka

Behind every seamless sunset vibe, there’s an hour on the floor and meters of cables no one ever sees.
Most people experience the front row: the warm glow of the retro lamps, a chilled glass of local wine, and the bass gently drifting through the hills. But this frame is where the actual respect for the craft lives.
For me, creating an atmosphere isn’t just showing up with music. It’s an architecture of moments. Every cable measured to the centimeter, every fixture positioned with intent. Clean backstage equals zero compromises on stage.
True aesthetics start where the light ends.
מאחורי כל רגע מושלם של שקיעה ומוזיקה, יש שעות של דיוק וסדר שאי אפשר להתפשר עליהם.
איפה בדיוק בעבודה שלכם אתם הכי פדנטים? 🍷✨
