Sometimes it really is the little things and moments that create such special moments and affect your life.

Crazy weekend where I somehow made DOUBLE DIGITS connecting with people i haven't seen in months, years(?!) and even EVER in person across all gigs.
All from coincidence of fate. - changed schedule, a decided rest stop, a new outlook etc

Throwback -
August always brings a lot of nostalgia and looking through old memories. I love that shit.
So in the vein of sharing more Wholesome stuff:
I came across this from last year.
Captain Roger Bilton & I on the Pacific Encounter.

This entire experience was unique and honestly wasn't meant to happen. Lots of last minute changes from myself and different parties that somehow led to the stars aligning to one of the best experiences of my life.

I never thought I'd go on a cruise and taking on the role, I was very "okay just go do your job".i was surprised how well I "took" to seafaring- I had no idea how good it would be!

But upon reflection, I was so incredibly lucky, and I'm so incredibly grateful, for everyone I had met on those cruises.
From the moment i stepped foot and met any staff, crew, entertainment managers, neighbours in the crew quarters, photographers, fellow guest entertainers, THE GUESTS, singers, dancers, cruise director, my nightly security check in after the club closed, the list goes on.

I made incredible connections on board, that i hope i can keep for life. from shipmates talking life, exploring islands together, guests I got to know and appreciate & make their trip memorable and tailored to their tastes.

These connections and shared experiences are really the entire point of this post

I really loved it and was convinced that was all I'd do from now on. But just how life has a funny way of sailing into magic, it can also steer you where you don't expect
- so this captains hours cocktails? I come into my room one day with the invitation slipped under my door and I thought "oh another every day thing I have to do, why didn't anyone tell me?"
But turns out..it's not very every day. It's quite an honour and I learnt not all entertainers get the invite. I was extremely grateful and honoured to meet the Captain and be received so warmly on board.

I couldnt possibly tag or add a photo of lliterally everyone i wanted to reference with this but I keep in contact with most of those I met, so if you're reading this, chances are you're who I'm talking about 🫶

Anyway, expect more throwbacks and rants as I start posting again

It's been a London Bridge Revival kinda year

It took a while but here's a link to my first ever radio mix courtesy of @doof_nights90.5fm in June

I remember it all happening so quickly and unexpectedly, though I'm of course extremely grateful i even got the call.

I took it extremely seriously though it was a new world and I didn't quite know what to expect

With about 3 days of prep work and recording in the literal back shack between one of my other jobs, juggling decks, laptops, files, usbs and trying to get it right in the recording while life was playing all around me

To say there were blood sweat and tears put into this would be an understatement.

And yet I still berated myself for what I knew were flaws in the mix which.. most people might not even here. And so like many of my mixes I didn't upload it;

This being despite the fact in the studio, I saw first hand behind the lights and screen, this was one of the highest listenership night the radio slot had had. Through listeners and texts - we saw them all come in

I was flabbergasted. I couldn't believe it, and yet I could.
I was nervous to advertise it though I knew that's entirely the point - to help support the music, the station, the man that put me on, and I guess my own work

All I knew was it would be on some forum of radio, and these things have a sense of posterity and i held myself to impossible standards for no reason other than wanting to honour everyone who would listen it

It's opened doors for me I didn't know existed

While I can be quiet loud sometimes, I was hesitant about any of this

But I love music and it's woven hand in hand with life itself for me

So I'm proud of this one and wanted to at least upload it so I could listen to some of my favourite tracks in a mix I would understand and could take me on a journey no matters where I was

Happy New Years - here's to the best 2025 for us all 🎉
