JMM Wooster NY Gallery openingMay 28th.Im not a party photographer, but when Patti Smith shows up for an intimate live performance, cant leave my camera in the room.Capturing the overall happiness and excitment of everyone was fun. I got to meet the one & only @nangoldinstudio 🙌🏼And hope i’ll get a chance to take her portrait and a proper chat on a further trip 🤞🏼So stoked to run into @markmahoney_ssc & his wife @nicmahoney 🫂 genuine sweethearts & one of the most stylish man on earth and a true inspiration. NEIGHBORHOOD® | TEAM IKUZAWA « Dirt Track Storm » Collection 🏁🏁.Magic trick : on both sides of the lens….1 year ago, Mai Ikuzawa & Sin Takizawa asked me to be the face of their capsule collection, then asked me to shoot it 🤔.Until the last mn they couldn’t chose if i should be the rider or the photographer.« Can you do both ? » asked Mai.& here comes the challenge and the fun..I can. I started to think of how to do this.Tripod / timer, tripod / remote trigger, camera rigged on car, GoPro, programmed drone… and the help of an assistant. doable✔️. The night before my flight to LA, my GF Virginie (who’s more realistic) was feeling the sketchyness of this mission and said « you should have someone to back u up as safety » I really wanted to make it all happen by myself, but called my good friend & artist Nevin Pontius as back-up camera operator..On shoot day, we faced location issues and lost lot of time. I had a shot list ready & knew precisely what shots i wanted. I could direct Nevin to capture the shots one at a time. Sun was getting lower so fast. Tripod & timer out, we took too much time to set the El Camino shots properly & now i had to ride and secure the most important : riding shots.Big up to Nevin, as i know how difficult it is to capture shots the way i would capture them with my own camera gear and just a few directions from me..Nevin and i are both riders & photographers which helps a lot in approaching riding shots. BO JOE for JACQUES MARIE MAGE.I am very grateful to contribute in JMM longstanding commitment to celebrating indigenous art & culture, supporting Native artists & communities thru meaningful partnership & philantropy..It brings me to walk on spiritual lands, meet and spend some very precious time with dedicated & highly skilled Navajo artists..Every shoot i did for « The Last Frontier » collections felt to me more like spiritual journeys, awakening moments & gratitude feelings. .For this extraordinary collaboration, my work started 2 years ago when i received that call from @steffylizibauwens : « Dim, we were struggling to put our hands on higrades stones, but Bo Joe just got informed that a special turquoise Apache Blue vein got discovered in Nevada ».2 weeks later i was driving to meet Bo in Tonopah and spend a day at the mine with him.He confessed how special this day was for him. No jewelry artist gets the opportunity to be invited to dig & chose himself the stones straight out of the mountain..Bo Joe only works with the highest and rarest quality of stones. What he discovered that day, in terms of quality & quantity was litteraly unseen in contemporary turquoise mining !Just witnessing his joy & enthusiasm was touching & made me understand how much this day meant to him..Almost 2 years later, i travelled to Sheridan, Wyoming & spent time with him in his workshop to complete the job.I got to see him work on those stones, and hear him telling me the meanings of every symbol, every detail & design. It goes way beyond being just beautiful, every design has a symbolic meaning related to cosmology, and paying tribute to Native traditions, ceremonies, ancestors, earth & his community..Bo Joe’s dedication to his culture, and craft is emotionnal to see & feel. I left Wyoming with a warm heart, at peace and feeling blessed my job as a photographer gets me to live such deep connections & meet such amazing & rich humans..A special Thanks to Jerome & Steffy at JMM for making me cross path with such rare souls, witness amazing craftmanship, learn more about the Native culture & somehow help me grow spiritually while doing my own craft ✨🙏🏼 by @dimitricoste

100% x Team Ikuzawa campaignFeaturing Hugo Frixtalon..July 2025. Les 2 Alpes. France..This was a special & exciting project to me for several reasons:-Bringing together two brands I love (& ride for), two incredibly talented creative minds : Marc Blanchard & Mai Ikuzawa, and be part of the creative process was exciting. -Being able to photograph and watch riding with such grace & style the amazing rider that is Hugo Frixtalon-getting back to shoot mountain biking action photos, i haven’t done that in more than 20 years, i wasn’t too confident & it got challenged when my camera decided to freeze before Hugo’s first run, and had to go with a 10 years old backup camera i had not used for years 😳-watching Hugo rip hard & fast brought me back so many awesome riding memories, & reminded me how much i love MTB… made me wanna ride again so much 🙌🏼.Huge thanks to:💯@ride100percent 🇯🇵@teamikuzawa 🚴‍♂️@frix.frix🚲@commencalbikes 🚲@sebcaldas💯@marcblanchard 💯@thomas_prenez 🎥@dorian.jouvenal 🎥@jules_bellot 🎵@fabianmazur by @dimitricoste
