Meet WoWoW! @latimes @marahe wrote a fantastic piece that teases just some of what @commodoregilgamesh & I have been up to as @everythingisterrible666 prepares for the big Los Angeles @meow__wolf opening! Much more to share but for now just happy that this twelve-eyed, three-mouthed beauty is finally out there in some form. HUGEST of shoutouts to @shaktihowethart @han.imal @jessimorelly @kdanaek @hinesliketheketchup @emmy_j_b_ @les_stuck from the Meow Wolf team, but many more incredibly talented people to praise & promote for all the work they put into making this a reality!! by @dimitrisimakis

I consider it my duty as a Greek to support comedy’s last line of defense, @stavvybaby2 in all his endeavors. Congrats on 'Uncle Stav' which is out out now on @netflix!!

When @benfobrien (the brains behind the operation) asked me to illustrate a crew tee and a 'BIG PIG MALT LIQUOR' neon sign for the special, took a shot of ouzo, danced the kalamatiano, and put it off for weeks- just as my ancestors would have done. Glad to see Stav healed ok from the scooter mishap, and absolutely killed it here. by @dimitrisimakis

@scissorsisters are one of the best bands period, so to be asked last year to resurrect Scissor Sisters News (worked on that way back in 2010😬) was like being knighted. @suki_rodeo & I had such a blast making these, plus @amandalepore @johnnyrobish are national treasures! And hosted by the incredilbe @billyeichner! Even @eltonjohn made an appearance which makes me think life is a simulation.

Special shoutout to @msaimeephillips and @babydaddy for making this happen, and GO SEE SCISSOR SISTERS ON TOUR NOW! Follow them for dates, starting with Brighton, UK at @chalk_venue tonight!!!

Finally we can share a tiny glimpse into what we’re working on with @meow__wolf for the fantastical Los Angeles location opening later this year! Lots more to share, but for now we want to say how grateful we are to the geniuses as Meow Wolf who are working with us so closely to make the most insane thing we’ve ever done! Special shoutouts to @jessimorelly @shaktihowethart @hinesliketheketchup @llorabihari @jimnewberry for tirelessly working so close with us on this for the past couple years already, and we cannot wait for you all to experience this in person very soon!!!

If you’re looking for a way to distract yourselves from the ongoing horrors of current existence, might I suggest revamping your portfolio site and cramming in far more stuff than anyone would ever care about. It’s surprisingly cathartic! Check it out at thedimitri.com!!!

Keep reminding myself how lucky I am to be alive, to spend time with people I love, and to be able to make art as much as possible. Plus year will be the unveiling of maybe the craziest thing my pals and I have ever done, so we cannot wait for everyone to experience it (in real life!).

Happy New Year, I love you all! by @dimitrisimakis
