A week ago, I turned 27.

For the first time in a very long time i gathered people together just to celebrate my life, and somehow that felt like the biggest gift of all.

I spent the evening with people who make me feel safe, loved, and seen. I smiled so much my cheeks hurt. I felt completely like myself.

Looking back, Year 27 quietly changed me. The year I became more comfortable in my own skin. The year I discovered that peace isn’t something you stumble upon; sometimes it’s something you choose, over and over again.

Not every part of the year was easy, but somehow it gave me back myself

So here’s to 28.

I hope this year is abundant in faith, in love, in friendships, in work, in family, in joy, and in all the quiet ways that matter most.

If my future self ever comes back to read this, I hope she remembers this feeling.

Grounded.
Grateful.
Hopeful.
