❄️ RAKSHAS: THE FALL OF HALCYON 🚀
📖 Author: M. Ninad
⭐ Rating: 5/5

🌷 HOW I DISCOVERED IT....
My first-ever sci-fi thriller! When the author reached out, I decided to step out of my comfort zone, and I'm SO glad I did. ❤️

🌍 THE STORY & WORLDBUILDING

Set in 2674, Earth is freezing, humanity survives inside artificial domes, and Mars becomes the hope for survival. But reaching it won't be easy! With futuristic technology, AI, power struggles, and mysteries, the concept genuinely fascinated me. And fun fact: my Electronics and Communication background helped me appreciate the technical aspects even more! 😂🤌🏻

💗 WHAT I LOVED

The engaging storyline, fascinating world-building, humour, and emotional moments kept me invested. I connected with the characters and found myself getting more curious as the story progressed.

😭 MY VERDICT

My first sci-fi thriller turned out to be a FIVE-STAR experience! ⭐ That cliffhanger has me desperately waiting for the next part. March 2027, please come faster! 🫠

Thank you, M. Ninad, for introducing me to this fascinating world. ❤️

A grumpy doctor called Dr. Ice, a sunshine girl, hospital romance, cute banter, AND emotional moments?!! 🩺💗

GIRLLLL, SIGN ME UP! 😭🤌🏻

Every Heartbeat Between Us was such a cute, comforting read! I loved how two completely opposite people slowly found their way towards each other instead of rushing into love.

The character development? Loved it.
The chemistry? Loved it.
Jennie, Emma & Sofia's friendship? GIVE ME COLLEAGUES LIKE THESE, PLEASE! 😭🫶🏻

And Jennie calling him Dr. Ice will never not be cute. 😂💙

What I especially loved was how real the story felt. Between hospital corridors, night shifts, patient emergencies, and those little moments of comfort, there's so much more happening than just a romance. There's friendship, grief, healing, and a whole lot of heart.

It's soft, it's sweet, it's emotional, and honestly, this kind of medical romance is RIGHT UP MY ALLEY!

⭐ 5/5 for me! 💗

📖 While We Wait by Durjoy Datta
⭐ 3.5/5

A story about grief, loss, and learning to live again.

Two strangers cross paths while waiting for their respective fiancés at an airport in Delhi. But sometimes, life takes an unexpected turn, and everything that follows changes the way we look at love, loss, and moving on.

What I found interesting was how differently grief can affect people. Sometimes it leaves us feeling stuck, while other times it pushes us to find new reasons to keep going.

The book also touches upon something we don't talk about enough, the guilt that comes with moving on, as if being happy again somehow means leaving someone behind. 🤍

However, I wish the writing had explored the deeper, more intense emotions of grief instead of moving so quickly towards the outcomes. I wanted to feel those difficult moments a little more.

Overall, it was a refreshing change of read, but definitely not the happy rom-com I expected. A fair, one-time read, as long as you go in with the right expectations.

💭 Tell me, would you pick up a romance that explores grief and healing rather than a typical happy rom-com?

I Wish You Were Here With Me by Harsha Yadav.

This is a simple but heartfelt story about Harsha and Diya, their bond, their dreams, and the memories they leave behind.
What I liked most was the story itself. Knowing that it is based on true events adds an emotional layer to the book.
The writing is very simple and straightforward, making it an easy read.
I think this book will work well for readers who enjoy emotional stories inspired by true events and simple storytelling. 📚✨
Sometimes, it's not the story that stays with you, but the thought that somewhere, these moments were actually lived. 🤍
Thank you to the author for sending me a copy. 💌
