I knew this day would come, but I didn’t think it would come so soon. My grandma, the matriarch of my family, is no longer physically here. 💔😢

She was so sweet, but did NOT play about her immaculate house! 😂 When I was little, we spent Sundays at my grandparents’ house for dinner, and once we moved, I spent almost every summer on her porch (she was VERY overprotective 🫠).

Going to Bates Street will now be a distant memory, but the memories will stay with me forever.

My grandmother had such a huge heart and was so much fun. But as a Sagittarius, that tongue was SHARP! 😂 She instilled so much into her daughters that was passed down to us. My mom was named after her for a reason. They are the reason I know how to cook, clean, love, entertain, and read somebody down, honey! 🫰🏾

She was there when I gave birth to my first daughter, and one of my favorite memories was her hosting my line at Massanutten. We woke up to a HUGE breakfast spread because she loved being around people and taking care of them.

She has lost so many people she loved over the last few years, including my mom two years ago and my grandfather last year. I find comfort in knowing she is no longer missing them and has reunited with those she loved.

Today we lost the patriarch of our family — my grandfather, Bunny. 💔😢
I have nearly 43 years of memories and life lessons he instilled in me. He’s the reason I know how to iron, understand the value of a dollar, and check every door and window before bed (IYKYK — Bunny the Security Guard).

One of my most cherished memories is from when my mom fell ill. He called her every single day until she could no longer communicate. After that, those calls became conversations with me, and we talked often.

Last weekend, my oldest daughter and her team took first place in their bracket at the We Run the World Flag Football Championship!🥇🏈💗

Coming off an injury, watching her get back on that field and compete made this one even more special. ❤️‍🩹 And now, she’s heading into her SENIOR YEAR and will play for her school’s inaugural flag football season.

I can’t believe this road is almost over. 🥹

Zoey has officially been promoted to high school! 🎓🧡

Middle school is challenging on its own, but at the end of 6th grade, she experienced the heartbreaking loss of her grandmother, making the journey even more difficult. Despite the grief and challenges, she persevered, remained focused, and maintained Honor Roll throughout middle school.

Thursday, she was promoted on the anniversary of her grandmother’s funeral while wearing her grandmother’s favorite color. A beautiful reminder that love, memories, and legacy continue to guide us.

I know my mom is smiling down with pride. ❤️🕊️

Keep soaring, baby girl. This is only the beginning, and your journey is still unfolding. The future is bright, and I can’t wait to see all that you accomplish. ✨
