Ada hal menarik soal pulang ke kampus. Kita datang untuk temu kangen, tapi sering pulangnya justru bawa cara berpikir yang baru.Kemarin di Alumni Back to Campus, Gedung SBM ITB, saya ikut sesi Dr. Dina Dellyana yang judulnya pas banget dengan situasi sekarang: How to Thrive in This Economy. Bukan soal cara bertahan, tapi cara menang saat modal mahal dan pasar melambat.Sembilan hal paling nempel buat saya, dari cash is king, retensi sebelum akuisisi, fokus ke core, sampai contextualization. Saya susun jadi catatan ringkas yang bisa langsung diterapkan, baik untuk yang sedang bangun startup, kelola UMKM, maupun yang lagi rapikan unit economics.Intinya satu: kas memberi waktu, fokus dan moat memberi keunggulan, konteks memberi arah. Dan semuanya bersandar pada unfair advantage.Geser untuk baca lengkapnya. Saya mengenal Nicko Widjaja secara profesional, kami pernah berkolaborasi dalam pengembangan kurikulum entrepreneurship di SBM ITB sejak 2019 - terakhir sebelum ditangkap. Bahkan @nickowidjaja rutin mengajar dan menjadi mentor startup di inkubator kami @thegreaterhub . Nicko adalah praktisi yang genuinely peduli pada ekosistem startup Indonesia dan pada pendidikan entrepreneurship.Sebagai akademisi di bidang inovasi dan entrepreneurship, saya sangat sedih melihat apa yang terjadi pada Nicko belakangan ini. Menurut saya tuduhan korupsi atas kegagalan investasi tidak tepat.Kegagalan investasi dalam venture capital ≠ korupsi.VC beroperasi dalam logika high risk by design. Startup mencari model bisnis yang belum terbukti, kegagalan adalah bagian dari prosesnya, bukan otomatis bukti kesalahan. Keputusan investasi harus dinilai dari proses saat itu, bukan hanya hasil akhir.Yang saya khawatirkan jika preseden ini terus berjalan:1. Investor takut danai startup early-stage yang paling butuh modal2. Talenta terbaik hindari industri CVC3. Ekosistem inovasi Indonesia kehilangan momentum4. Kita sulit bangun ekonomi digital yang butuh keberanian ambil risikoIndonesia sedang dalam fase kritis membangun ekosistem inovasi.
