Out for dinner with Esplanade curator Thea Sleight and fellow artist Halima Mohammed after the opening of our show “until then”. Currently at Project Space Vitrines in Medicine Hat . Special thanks to Thea for this wonderful opportunity . The left butterfly dress was woven with Jay cloths to make a statement about immigration . The burgundy woven piece is bamboo and took 400 hours to bead . can you imagine how many months ceremonial garments would take to make for a whole community ? Grateful by @dinahgastonmakes

New to Esplanade Project Space is Yebehyia Biom * Halong * Until Then. What a special weekend spent with the curator of my upcoming exhibition, Thea of the Esplanade . I took her on a tour of the galleries and museums in the area . But mostly it was a joy to have some exceptional food together . This is a pork lettuce wrap and coconut crispy beans from One More Restaurant in Coleman by @dinahgastonmakes

More than Very honoured to have my work displayed on the 8th floor of the arts department at the University of Lethbridge . This work was purchased by the U of L last year and was professionally framed and mounted by David Smith. It was request by myself to have the work more accessible to the student’s, so Professor Anne Dymond found a way to use the short wall on the 8 th level to hang the work temporarily, until after the first 2 weeks of class, before finding it a more permanent home. Special thanks to @adyady121212 and Mary Kavanaugh for making this all hapoen . I’m deeply touched. Special thanks to @carolannapilado for the ancestral knowledge . by @dinahgastonmakes
