SCOTCH EGG 🥚 Ingredients; * 6 hard boiled eggs * 400g pork sausage * 2 cups of plain flour * 1 raw egg * Breadcrumbs * Seasoning & spice * Vegetable oil for deep frying Instructions; Peel hard boiled eggs and rinse again Incase there is still a little bit of shell still clinging. Remove sausage from its casing and put in a clean bowl. Season the sausage with stock cubes, paprika and ground ginger. (Feel free to use any seasoning and spice of your choice) Mix the sausage to incorporate the seasoning, add 1/2 cup of plain flour to make the sausage a bit firmer. Coat the peeled eggs in flour. With clean hands dappled with flour cut a little bit of sausage and flatten, then proceed to wrapping each egg in the flatten sausage and shaping it into a ball. Crack open the raw egg into a small bowl and whisk it, then pour breadcrumbs in a bowl and 1 cup of plain flour in another bowl. Start by dipping the wrapped eggs into the bowl containing the plain flour and then into the whisked egg making sure it goes round the wrapped egg and lastly into the bowl containing breadcrumbs and coat it perfectly. Deep fry in vegetable oil (medium to high heat) until golden brown and crispy. Serve hot or cold best with a drink. Enjoy!
