An short open letter to the locals:

Thanks to my father, who was born in Lucca, I have my Italian citizenship. Obtaining it was one of my greatest joys. He followed his family to America in search of a better life. 70 years later, I am attempting to do the same.

Rest assured I have no interest in forcing my beliefs, way of life, or traditions upon you. Embracing yours is my ultimate goal. I want to assimilate and will work diligently to become fluent. I respect the land, the animals, and most importantly the people. I will always lead with kindness and will always help those in need. I want nothing more than to be apart of your community. I want to add to it and never subtract from it. I want to thank you for your acceptance, kindness, love, and support. I work every day to repay you with the same🙏 Believe me when I tell you my heart is pure 🤍
