After leaving my job in July, I spent the last four months traveling across Asia. Somewhere between the courts, the people, and the miles, I realized something: this sport isn’t just something I do — it’s who I am becoming.

So I made one of the biggest decisions of my life… I’m relocating to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia 🇲🇾 for the next year.

It’s not easy leaving family, friends, and everything familiar. But there’s a point where comfort stops serving you. I’m ready to step into the unknown — to test myself against players around the world, to grow this sport wherever I can, and to help lay a foundation for the next generation of players coming up behind us.

Pickleball isn’t a hobby anymore. It’s my career. It’s my commitment. And choosing to move halfway across the world to pursue it is a promise I’m making to myself and to the game.

So here I go — taking everything I’ve learned and everything I’ve become into this next chapter. Wish me luck, follow the journey, and remember… it’s never just about the destination. It’s about the adventure that gets you there. Asia here I come ✈️✈️✈️

Thank you to everyone who’s been part of this. Truly living a dream. 🫶🏻 taken in Pasadena, California by @dinkingwithroman

To new beginnings…

After 10 years at the same 9–5, I’ve finally decided to walk away.

I’ve always been someone who thrived on juggling it all—work, life, everything in between. But somewhere along the way, I realized that constantly “getting it done” doesn’t leave much room to actually live it.

So I’m choosing the unknown. It’s scary, but it’s also exciting. I’m chasing a life that feels more aligned with who I am and what I truly want.

I don’t have all the answers yet—but I know I’ll look back and be proud I had the guts to start over.

Here’s to risk.
Here’s to growth.
Here’s to doing it scared.
Here’s to once being enough.

Singapore, that’s a wrap. 🇸🇬

🥇 Men’s doubles with my guy @joshuayoo98
🥈 Mixed with none other than @neemonthecourts

10+ hours in the sun, humidity, haze… and we still found a way onto the podium. I’ll take it.

Josh, you were lights out all day. We were out there cookin’ teams in men’s and it felt unreal. Really enjoyed sharing the court with you and excited for what’s to come. And yeah, you earned that W over us in the mixed final. Enjoy it while it lasts 😤

Neeem, look how far we’ve come. This is just the beginning of what we can do together. Thanks for letting me be me out there and leaving everything on the court 🫶🏻

Huge thanks to @clare_bear_3131 & @maggieyeobk for taking care of the @002singapore squad. No podium without you two. Grateful to have met you both.

Shoutout to everyone who stuck around to watch all day, and to @franklinpickleballsg for a great tournament.

SG, you’ll always have a piece of my heart. Leaving this time hits different. Memories that’ll last a lifetime, but it’s never easy saying bye to the people who made it special. Not goodbye though…. just see you later. 👋 taken in Singapore by @dinkingwithroman

When you’re competing at a top-tier tournament, your hotel isn’t just where you sleep - it’s where you reset, refuel, and lock in. 💯

For USA Pro Roman Estareja, there are 6 non-negotiables every room needs to ace:

Honestly just wanted to remind myself that I still belonged this weekend. Ended up walking away with the Championship & MVP too 🥹

I had an absolute blast competing with @thecoasters.pb at @majorleaguepb.aus Melbourne — progress isn’t always linear, and this event was exactly the reminder I needed. MLP Australia will always have a special place in my heart; it was one of the first places I really got to showcase my game internationally, so coming back after a little hiatus and winning feels that much sweeter.

Team chemistry is already through the roof, so I can’t wait to see how we do in the events to follow. @demtownsend thank you for drafting me and believing I had what it takes to help this team win. @tayahcross_pickleball thank you for being a genuinely good human being and having such a great attitude all weekend. @ryanhenry1984 mate, thank you for bringing the fire and intensity — you brought out a side of me that wanted to match your level of effort, and I learned a lot from your approach to the game.

To everyone back in KL and the US who tuned in to watch our matches, a HUGE thank you for the support! And thank you to my amazing sponsors who make this all possible. Because of you, I get to do this for a living, and I’m not taking this for granted... not even for a second 🥲 taken in Raya Pickleball Club by @dinkingwithroman

🥈 place with my “son” @will5pickleball at the @ipickle.us Fall Classic 🍂! Proud isn’t even the word — watching him grow from a month ago to podiuming with me hits different. Sky’s the limit, kid. Keep grinding, keep chasing it.

Hwaiting 🇰🇷 💪. IYKYK

Thank you to my family and friends who came out to support — it really means the world to me. And seeing so many familiar faces at the courts yesterday, that’s what makes this community so special 🫶🏻. A perfect send off for me as I head back out to Asia. See y’all in a few months ✌️ taken in IPickle La Habra by @dinkingwithroman
