I really thought this was going to be a fun little hobby. 😂

I was expecting to get some exercise, meet new people and hit a plastic ball around.

HOW did we get from that to planning my entire week around who’s playing, analyzing shots I missed three days ago, and having strong opinions about paddle technology?!

And don’t even get me started on the group chats. Most of their last names are Pickleball in my contacts because I only know their first names.

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has turned a recreational sport into a full-blown personality trait. 🏓😂 by @dinksanddishes

I’m not even kidding. I thought pickleball was ridiculous. 😂

And now? I plan my schedule around it, replay missed shots in my head, and somehow think playing for 3 hours is a perfectly reasonable way to spend a morning. Heck, I’m even teaching others how to play.

So here we are. I started an entire Instagram account about it. 🤣
