Clue 2 over on Patreon. (If you didn't know, you can follow us on Patreon for free. We'd really appreciate seeing you there, where our posts get seen and we're not at the mercy of Instagram's soul-sucking algorithm)

Some important Dinky news. 2 things:

We know a lot of you follow us here on Instagram, but we'd like to use Patreon more for updates and announcements. In this crazy age of social media, we align more with their ethics and we think we can have a better connection with you all. We'll continue to post pics here, but if you want to get the latest news, that's where it's at. Importantly, whilst Patreon is known as a place to support the work of artists financially, you can follow us there completely free of charge. Obvs, if you want to support us, that's cool, but a follow on Patreon is free and would be amazing:

https://www.patreon.com/dinkydoors

And... secondly, we're about to unleash a new Dinky Door. Yup. New and shiny, and ready to be released.

And... you've guessed it already, the details will be over on Patreon. 😉

Honestly, it's a platform where you'll actually see our posts and where we think you'll have a better Dinky Doors' experience.

Much love,

:-)

Team Dinky

Getting round to re-floofing all the doors. Lots of cleaning, repainting and the occasional repair. And gosh, thank you for all the people who stopped by and said hello. It really recharges our batteries hearing your kind words.

We've got lots of things happening right now. Some very exciting things on their way...

❤️

AD | This might be the cutest Afternoon Tea in Cambridge 🫶

@parkers_tavern and @dinkydoors have teamed up to create a sweet treat worth opening the door for, proving that good things really do come in small packages.

Enjoy the most delicious treats and savouries, then head around Cambridge to discover the city’s tiniest dinky doors.

As someone who is sweet treat and burrowers obsessed, I am a huge fan of this tasty collaboration!✨

It started with a doorway, and somehow turned into a storybook afternoon…

Parker’s Tavern felt like the perfect place for it all to unfold… familiar, warm, and a little bit special as always 🫖

There’s something about magical Cambridge that only really shows up if you’re paying attention… quiet little details tucked into the edges of familiar streets ✨

Afternoon tea at Parker’s Tavern where Parker is treated like absolute royalty every time, was already a dream… but this collaboration with Dinky Doors made it feel like stepping into a storybook.

Two tiny Dinky Doors reimagined as desserts sat among the tiers; playful little nods to the hidden installations scattered all across Cambridge (and even out at Wandlebury). There’s a map you can follow if you want to go hunting for them… and suddenly the whole city feels like a quiet treasure hunt.

Soft conversation, little giggles, clinking cups… and that feeling of being briefly stitched into something bigger than the afternoon itself.

We even left a little treat by 10 1/4 Downing Street on the way out… a small thank you for the bit of magic it added to the afternoon.

Tea, treats, tiny doors, and a city that never really stops hiding a bit of magic 🗝️🫖✨
