Beef & Jack stayed at a pet resort (in a penthouse loft suite with 3 levels for climbing & a basement room) but apparently were both very nervous and scared and basically hid inside their felt cave bed most of the time. There were warning stickers on the enclosure because Jack would try to bolt anytime they opened the enclosure to feed or clear the litter box. We figured they’d be hiding under the bed for a good 24 hours, but within about 5 hours or so, they were calming down and laying out by us. Beef has been keeping close to Jack to protect her like a good older brother, but he also likes to hide is the shower. by @dinkyvision

A few more. Hit up Larry Edmunds bookstore & Amoeba Records. I brought 2 Hue Go lamps for some accent lighting in the room which was awesome, plus a pair of Sonos Roam 2 speakers and played mid century cocktail lounge vibe music to set the mood… also great for putting on a movie on the iPad at night. I was a bit bummed that the hotel no longer has TCM (Turner Classic Movies) as a channel. Every time we stay, I put it on and lower the volume for an old school Hollywood film vibe. Luckily I have TCM on my Hulu account along with a bunch of saved old movies so I’d put on Casablanca or an old panavision western. #hollywoodroosevelt taken in Roosevelt Hotel, Hollywood by @dinkyvision

Poolside at the Roosevelt. The 2 windows on the second floor above the pool is the Marylin Monroe suite where she lived for 2 years. Absolutely love this property. Fantastic room service, beautiful room, awesome pool area. Enjoyed some cocktails & fish tacos by the pool. Always a great time. Perfect for concert days… sleep in, get room service then lounge by the pool for a while, then grab a quick nap before getting ready for the shows. Thanks again to all the amazing staff at the hotel. Exceeded our expectations again! The Odyssey at The Vista Theater. What an incredible theater. Newly renovated, amazing sound system, comfy seats. They do the curtain, then showed an old Warner Bros cartoon (on 35mm), then some old trailers. Music playing (from The Shining) during pre show. They sell Hitching Post Pinot Noir by the glass which is a personal favorite of mine. 70mm film projection. Beef & Jack. These are the remaining two from the litter of 4 the local calico had in August. Male & female siblings (didn’t know calico’s were all female and we already started calling her Jack so whatever…), and Beef is a chunk so that’s why he’s Beef. Jack (calico) is the one that got attacked by a coyote on Xmas eve (when one of the other kittens was killed). She had a badly broken shoulder but had healed up great, fixed & vaxd. Beef is a total sweetheart. Just the most gentle and sweet cat ever. Loves to lay between my legs. Jack is a spicy terrorist but they’re pretty cute. Getting ready to trap momma, get her vaccinated and fixed then released. She can’t be adopted out because she’s too feral. She visits regularly for a few years, and will get close to us but never allows pets or touch. by @dinkyvision

Framerate: Desert Pulse by ScanLAB Projects at the Desert Botanical Gardens in Tempe, AZ. Over the course of a year, ScanLAB uses motion control cameras, 3 D LiDAR, infrared and other processes to capture beautiful time lapse images of various desert plants. Large screens are placed throughout the garden and atmospheric music plays around the garden. Another awesome exhibit.
