In love with these mosaic sinks and fountains by @krzysztof_ceramic from his “Rendezvous” exhibition.

Both are part of his broader exploration of queer desire and public expressions, reinterpreting biblical themes through the lens of sexuality and the taboo.

“There are so many ways that art and architecture can either dance or fight together. Working with Sebastian has made me a better artist and him a better architect. It’s like that old expression ‘one and one makes 11’. Sebastian and I are 11 when we work together.”

If you have the chance to make it to the Maison Margiela x Gentle Monster pop up in NYC, I’d highly recommend. The eyewear collection itself seamlessly blended futurism and classism for some striking glasses (pictured: me wearing a relatively simple pair), but the main pull is the decor. Kinetic sculptures integrating both the natural and the cyber, representing the reintroduction of life to an otherwise barren planet through technology. Love it when designers really lean into fashion as art.

“THE VISITOR
As the future Earth’s angle against the moon changed, the 13th month was born from this evolved orbital period.
The “New Earth”, which now has the month of 13, unleashed dramatic transformations in climate, environment, and all the surrounding nature including the people’s lives.
Chaos unfolds as food and natural resources become depleted all the while people are devastated in search of sign of life.
Unexpectedly, in the midst of this, an obscure sphere appears.
It was a life form in a shape of an egg birthed out of the mercurial environment. After a while, the egg metamorphosed loosely into the form of a flamboyant caterpillar.
Enchanted by this anomaly of the living creature, people touched and tasted the egg(unidentified) and its shell, culminating a transformation in the people. Lacking substance, the egg and its shell was filling enough; toying with the elements of gravity-levitating the people in its presence.
With people suffering from such drastic change to the environment, this living creature became a beacon of hope for humanity and “health and prosperity” became the pinnacle of living for everyone around.
Some attained new abilities and supernatural powers turned into followers holding religious ceremonies, but others tried to replicate the living creature by numerous experiments.
Thus, with 13th month spawns this unceremonious marriage of arcane life and impending disarray....” taken in Gentle Monster by @dinnersometime
