Documentation from “Loved by You”, a live performance exploring queer desire, fantasy, loneliness, validation and the need to be loved.

Thank you to @thedivineldn for hosting the performance part of the Fringe program and providing the space to develop and share the work.

“I am good, but not an angel. I do sin, but I am not the devil. I am just a small girl in a big world trying to find someone to love.”

Today is the centenary of Marilyn Monroe.
To mark her 100th birthday, I am incredibly excited to announce Dino new performance, LOVED BY YOU, debuting on 28 June at the first Divine Fringe Festival.

This work explores a deeply personal narrative of navigating modern queer dating and intimacy by intervening it with the figure of my first childhood idol.

Through standalone monologues and iconic Marilyn songs performed a cappella, the piece bridges the gap between the hyper-masculine body and the private fragility hidden beneath the images we project.
It is a messy, tragicomic negotiation of desire, obsession, and the universal search for love.

CASTING CALL

“Self-tape for a self-love”

DIY Nights, Chisenhale Dance Space
19 June, 19:30 / 20:00

Dino brings together fragments of work exploring the exertion of a career as an actor and performer.

Through a process of self affirmation and the need to exist, fictionalised ambition and paranoia merge into a way to escape the present time.

A participatory event where the audience takes the place of the unseen observers; the casting directors and digital gatekeepers, and where the rehearsal becomes the final act.
