Nombre cientifico: Gerrothorax pulcherrimus
Significado: Pecho de mimbre más hermoso
Nombrado por: Tage Nilsson (1934)
Orden: Temnospondyli
Suborden: Stereospondyli
Familia: Plagiosauridae
Longitud: 1 metro aprox.
Peso: 20 kg aprox.

It hunted its prey by sucking them into its mouth, instead of keeping it open like a toilet seat. It could live in aquatic habitats with a wide range of salinity. Throughout its extensive fossil record, it showed no morphological change, an example of evolutionary stasis.
Period: Middle-Late Triassic
It lived in: Greenland, Germany, Poland, Sweden, and possibly Thailand.
