In 1959, JFK gave a speech where he said in Chinese, crisis and opportunity share a character.

危 = danger
機 = inflection point / critical juncture
會 = opportunity / will / can
危機 (wēijī) = crisis
機會 (jīhuì) = opportunity

Not only do they share a character, many great leaders figured out that crises are opportunities to understand more about life, more about yourself, who you are, who you are not, and to generate change.

On a more personal level, when you overcome the external obstacles poverty presents, you get to points of comfort.

And this perceived peace is an illusion many people fall into over the course of their life. Which leads to frustration, depression, hopelessness, stagnation, and slow decline.

You have to be the one that creates the urgency. Run YOUR race. Label your current baseline as unacceptable, a crisis, and this will give you the opportunity to grow.

It’s spiritual alchemy that is powerful and self sustaining. The result you want is equivalent to the crisis induced.

We have poverty because financiers desire power. The earliest forms of Usury were based on the growth rate of cattle or crops. And when debts became to overbearing, the king at the time would wipe out the debts and kick out the lenders, then the cycle would start again in the next kingdom. Lending was not forbidden, but lending with interest was, with the main moral issue being that the lender is exploiting someone who is desperate and less fortunate. The game has only gotten more complex with the federal reserve, manipulation of government data, currency exchanges. but the premise is the same. Borrow money at a low rate, buy assets, live off the arbitrage, refinance the debt, never pay it back, keep expanding the base of people to lend out. Cash is continuously being printed. It’s a piece of paper. Numbers in a computer that banks can just change. You’re better off spending it on steak. by @dionysussavior

Hierarchy is built on voluntary dependency.

When the farmers needed rains, they went to the priests who began to rule, and spoke to the gods who commanded the skies.

But the gods did not walk the earth.

So the priests went to the warriors for protection, and warriors began to rule; using force to gain and hold power.

But soldiers need weapons today for the wars of tomorrow.

So financiers began to rule.

Binding nations in debt, as they funded the wars of empires.

Since then, we have built entire nations on credit.

And when all the land was conquered, they turned to our minds.

Convincing us to trade the last of our freedoms, for the conveniences they could offer.

Because convenience, is how dependency is sold.
