Dipti Chandra and MAMAL: Celebrating Indian Heritage on the TIFW 2026 Runway

BANGKOK, THAILAND — 2026

Indian designer Dipti Chandra, founder of MAMAL, brought a strong expression of Indian heritage and cultural identity to the runway of Thailand International Fashion Week 2026 (TIFW 2026).

Founded with a focus on Indian design and a commitment to staying connected to its roots and culture, MAMAL presents fashion that celebrates traditional influences through a contemporary creative perspective.

For TIFW 2026, Dipti Chandra presented the “Rabari Look,” drawing inspiration from the distinctive heritage and visual identity associated with the Rabari community. The presentation offered an opportunity to showcase Indian cultural influences on an international fashion platform in Bangkok.

With experience across more than 100 national and international fashion shows, Dipti Chandra has presented her work on a wide range of platforms, including government-associated fashion events and international showcases.

Her fashion journey has included participation in TIFW 2025, Asia Fame Awards, and the International Designer League 2025 in Doha, among other national and international events.

Beyond designing, Dipti Chandra has also been working as a designer and fashion event organiser for the past three years, building experience across both creative production and event organisation.

Through MAMAL, she continues to develop a distinctive fashion identity rooted in Indian culture, craftsmanship and heritage, while bringing those influences to audiences beyond India.

Her participation at TIFW 2026 further highlighted the international character of the Bangkok runway, where designers from different backgrounds and cultures came together to present their creative identities on one platform.
