“I will be an international dancer” I was writing in my journals back in 2017.

this is visual 3 out of 5 of my @temsbaby portfolio series. “GET IT RIGHT” All year long, I’ve been using songs from her debut album “Born In the Wild”
and crafting concept visuals from the ground up,
to explore how dance and movement elevate music.
I’d love to choreograph entire numbers for big performances and music videos. I have a lot to offer.

…I been writing that in my journals lately 🤭

Thank you thank you to Malaysia 🇲🇾
for being so colorful and wonderful
and giving to me every visit.

Thank you @tavon7687 & @kongfuukenny
for being my riders and helping me
develop this entire project from
start to finish, literally.

Thank you to the movers,
two of which I met on set that day
after putting out a cast-blast 24 hours before
(thank you to everyone who
supported me by sharing that!)

Thank you again @temsbaby @asakemusic @donawon

Thank you GOD ✨

If you know me, you know I love me some @temsbaby. Like, from wayyy back and in every way today! The inspiration behind this project series mainly stems from the strong desire to share how Tem’s voice, her music makes me feel from the perspective of a dancer. I absolutely love seeing clips of her performing and can’t help but to think every time “this would even more AMAZING if there were dance sequences to this!!” 🤣

so I decided to create them.

Also with the faith that when she and her teams see this, it sparks a new creative canvas. And just mayyyyybe I might get to join a tour as a dancer/choreographer. I’m going for what I want.

Each of these 6 dance visuals are songs featured on @temsbaby debut album “Born in the Wild”

Thank you for your support ✨

Friday at what time?! 👀🤭

For the 2nd class of the year, we’ll be introducing “Foundation Fridays” where one class each month will be strictly focused on foundational movements. The structure of this class is aimed at learning in-depth where certain movements and styles derive from.

This allows us more time to sit with what we learn, build confidence in our bodies and dance journey, enhance respect for cultures who plant these styles, and have fun doing it all ✨

29. I’m just grateful that all the way up until her last breath, my granny was praying for me. Blessing me.

This one was different from the beginning. And now as I share it with the world, it makes everything feel a lil more vulnerable. But I’m ready.

My granny was rich in soul, less in money.

But bringing me up to appreciate music as much as she did was the most valuable gift she could’ve nurtured within me.

She and God are literally the reason I am exactly who I am today; rhythmically and melodically.

It actually frightened the hell out of me to all of a sudden have to be responsible for all this….history. But this was how we connected, I loved on her collection the way she taught me to, and I’m not sure anybody else will ever be able to carry this….until I teach them.

So, I got it from here. Love you, MJB 🕊️
