You are 13! FREAKING 13!!!! Wow ... seem like the second photo was yesterday... but actually just the other day you and I where dancing in the Pitt @thestrokes concert! I picked your favorite song - from your favorite artist and I still remember the energy you had when his concert started and letting you curse in front of me for the first time the entire show (because how else could you sing along lol) !!! I call you my Unicorn ... 🦄 because you truly are that. You light up every space you are in.. since tiny you were the most requested baby for playdates! You are a fiercely loyal - Loving - empathetic- intelligent- funny- confident- strong - beautiful brown skin young woman. As everything that comes with being your father - also I daily look to gain your trust - your pride in me as a father - your understanding and shower you with love. What people don't know is we talk about EVERYTHING! Deep conversations that can span all topics. I love your imagination and I pray you continue to have the heart to follow it. There is nothing you can't do. I know a PHD is in your future - but also you will have an ability to help people because your many talents and you truly care .. never lose that! #Brooklynforpresident .. I love you .. and without making this post too long - words can't even express how proud I am of you. Life has thrown you some lemons 🍋 .. but you have always made lemonade! HAPPY BIRTHDAY Brooklyn Hampton .. my unicorn! by @directordevinhampton
