Balls & Balls.

In this week of the eclipse, another overload of constellations of balls: the ones I paint and the ones I need to get relief of painting them. A full circle moment.

Sphere 3 B exemplifies Jensma’s disciplined approach, where repetition becomes rhythm and restraint gives way to a dynamic presence.

Dirk Jensma, Spheroid 1.
In this work, meticulous repetition and subtle shifts in colour and form create a visual rhythm that feels both grounded and mesmerising. Jensma’s paintings emerge from his fascination with pattern and internal logic, each line echoing a disciplined process that unfolds like an abstract mantra.

Step into the world of Dirk Jensma, a Dutch artist based in Sóller, Mallorca, where he lives and works in a converted garage-studio that doubles as home and workspace. What was once a simple space has become an intensely personal environment, shaped by light, landscape and Jensma’s disciplined approach to painting and pattern making. Jensma’s art grows from a background in fashion and makeup artistry, through years of travel and meticulous drawing and embroidery, into a visual language that balances repetition, structure and calm intensity.

Dirk Jensma is newly represented by Rademakers Gallery and part of our group exhibition Move It Up: Kinetic Art. Come and see his work during the festive opening: postponed to January 17 due to the weather | 16:00–19:00
Free entrance, no RSVP needed.

TALKING BALLS

Honestly, I struggle to explain — briefly and intelligently — why my paintings look the way they do. How do I describe the journey behind them in just a few clear sentences? What kind of language helps make that story coherent and thoughtful, without over simplifying or sounding daft : )

Go and see my exhibition in hotel Los Enamorados Ibiza untill 28th of july

As a young adult, I discovered The World of Interiors. Growing up in a family where fashion, design, and beauty were part of everyday life, I found in this magazine the ultimate source of inspiration—showcasing architecture and interiors of timeless class.. Each issue opened doors to other worlds—an English countryside castle, a rustic shack in Africa, a sleek modern home in some faraway place. All so different, yet all brought together by a sense of style and soul that went beyond trends.

Now, several decades later, seeing my garage featured on www.worldofinteriors.com …. : )

Thank you 📸 @jeanmariedelmoral and Catherine de Montalembert, besides your great work it was such a pleasure to get to know you!!

For a wonderful instagram scroll session, take a look at the account @jeanmariedelmoral
