VERY SPECIAL GUEST

Nick Woodmansey aka @emanative

EMANATIVE
a word derived from emanate.
1. issuing or proceeding from a source
2. sending forth or emitting.

London / southeast based drummer, producer, d.j. and bandleader

'Things are not what they appear to be: nor are they otherwise'

When our mutual friend musician, dj and previous guest @nicehair02 began to tell me about Nick, I had to cut him off, jump on a train, into the van and off we went.

Magical mystery ensued, babbling away as usual in the back of the fun bus we made our way deeeeeep down south, it was wet, and it was very, very dark.

We made it to the venue before the band themselves, so we turned around and headed to his home. There we were graciously welcomed and fed delicious, lovingly home-made food.
Upon seeing Sun Ra's face on the walls Nick's record collection and paintings, I knew we were in for a treat.

I felt ready,
I thought I was ready...

I wasn't.

I knew nothing. I know nothing.

Mind blown, hair's stood on end, mouth ajar, transfixed, instantly hypnotized I fell into a love trance with the sound and remain so to this day, whatever day today is.

I'm so very happy & grateful to introduce Nick to anyone yet to have heard him...

and even if you've heard him, you've not heard all he has in store.

Legendary, sprawling, marathon dj sets at the now historic South London Veranda plus recent explorations into the sonic cosmos that only places with sound systems like @spiritland & @brilliant_cnrs could do justice. His productions have earnt him praise from the stars, his collabs are off any charts and BOY can he lead a band into unknown territory.

YOU ARE NOT READY.

Sit down, relax, brace yourself & breath, deeply.

Focus your mind and prepare to have your thinking adjusted and chakras realligned as he reconnects you to the source of all things.

SPECIAL GUEST

PANTHERINA
@panther1na

From the vibrant unity of Norwegian and Jamaican heritage, PANTHERINA embodies the cultural melting pot that is London. Her journey through music began in childhood, shaped by the rich diversity of her mother’s eclectic record collection.

She has spent over a decade honing her craft as a DJ and her sets reflect a deeply refined style, exploring groove-based incarnations of House; such as Funky, Disco, Tribal, and Deep. Her dynamic sets have graced iconic venues including Ministry of Sound, EGG and prestigious events like the Ambani pre-wedding celebrations. Her reputation as a versatile and engaging performer has also earned her numerous residencies across London.

As a vocalist, PANTHERINA’s résumé is as diverse as her influences. Never one to be confined by genre, she has contributed her talents to a variety of projects. Her writing and vocal work have appeared on songs licensed to Channel 4’s hit TV show Skins, and her writing credits include collaborations with Sony/ATV and EMI Publishing, with her track "Gyal Dem" being nominated for "Best Use of Production Music in a Television Trailer" in the 2022 music production awards.

Her live performance credentials are equally impressive. She toured as a member of the legendary Stereo MCs and is a resident singer at London’s famed Blues Kitchen.
