Broke my Riso-printing virginity with a Flash Printing Session at @secret_riso_club , Brooklyn and I am so hooked.
Printed a limited-edition series with our artist roster from Dirty Hands Co. (@poorvaroid @toshajagad @mackwin_baptist @chewdperfect - DM them to cop your prints) and I fear a new obsession has begun.

Big love to Julia (@iia.0629)for patiently taking me through the process, answering a million questions and being such a lovely host. Imma steal your job soon hahaha.

For those who don’t know us, @dirtyhandscompany has a history of making slightly eccentric decisions when it comes to printmaking. Exhibitions, workshops, live printing, screen-printing infrastructure, weird ideas that somehow work, we’ve never been great at sitting still. One day at a Riso studio and we’re already looking at machines online.

Thanks New York, another expensive hobby unlocked.

‘Bombay से New York’, a limited edition screen print series of 15 editions.

Built around a Mumbai BEST bus, layered with graffiti and visual chaos inspired by everything I absorbed on my recent trip to New York. From painted trucks, shutter tags, garage walls, subway scribbles, handstyles, stickers and every surface that carried a voice of its own.
With this series i wanted to connect two cities that feel wildly different, yet strangely familiar in their energy, movement and street culture.

Printed with love, experimentation and long hours at @bushwickprintlab , alongside some of the best people doing it.

Bombay से NewYork - limited edition 3 colour screen prints by @chewdperfect
(TW graphics water based inks on paper).

Had the best time printing at @bushwickprintlab and getting a proper taste of New York’s screen print scene. Big love to Ray Cross for hosting me, sharing years of knowledge with such generosity, and keeping the print culture alive.
Funny how screen printers from opposite sides of the world speak the exact same language, ink on hands, normalising late nights at the studio, problem-solving approach, and an unhealthy love for registration marks. Felt like i am meeting a long-lost brother hehe.
Good to know the print culture is being kept alive with the same passion everywhere.
From Bombay to New york, same hustle, just different postcode.
