Every story starts somewhere. Ours started with two wheels, a little dust, and a crazy idea. This is just the beginning. DIRTY WHEELS • ORIGINAL SERIES Ride Free. Live Raw. by @dirtywheelsproject
A year ago this was just a dream I kept talking about, an idea. First visit alone, then bringing some friends to check the location. Signing the deal. First day of construction. Then learning the space, adapting every detail on site, the place teaches you as you build it, realising it’s way bigger than what you anticipated. The idea never changed: a community around the dirt bike experience in Lombok, the best landscape for it, and this feeling of freedom it gives you. A place for like-minded people who love being around a garage energy, where things get built creatively, but also want a beer, good friends and a sunset view. So proud to be building this. by @dirtywheelsproject
I changed my mind three times before lunch. Again. This is my friends and partners with me on site the other day. Checking every details, doubting half of them, rethinking them over and over to try and make the best choice. This is our determination, every detail matters, and we’re working hard to make this den/this garage, the best hanging spot for the community I wanted to create and gather around this idea that Dirty Wheels Project represents. Big shoutout to our contractor Agung, for coping with us and staying calm every time we decide to do a 180 from the choices we made the week before. Honestly, it’s a bit the same as in life, and a bit like the whole point of Dirty Wheels Project: turning your heels on the corporate life and your home country to go abroad and start an incredible adventure that will make your life memorable with plenty of stories to tell and remember. So ladies and gentlemen, grab your keys, jump on your dirt bike because the first Dirty Wheels Project garage is coming to Kuta Lombok ! by @dirtywheelsproject
Oil change for the bike. Same thing for the head. Get your hands dirty, your mind empty, that's the rest we all need. #DirtyWheels #GarageLife #DirtBikeTherapy #RideFreeLiveRaw #Lombok #MotoCulture by @dirtywheelsproject
Somewhere between the emails, you forgot this exists. It's time to leave your laptop and phone, jump on that bike and go for a ride with your friends, it's called therapy. by @dirtywheelsproject
There are two kinds of tired. The first one you know well. Eight hours of screens, forty tabs, three meetings that could've been messages. You get home empty and somehow still wired. Sleep doesn't fix it. Weekends don't either. The second one is different. Forearms cooked from three hours of ruts. Dust in places you'll find next week. Your ears still ringing with silence after the engine cuts. The first tired takes from you. The second one pays you back. Here's the test: tonight, when your head hits the pillow, ask which tired you are. If you can't remember the last time it was the second kind, that's not a schedule problem. That's a compass problem. The fix costs one morning. Any bike. Any dirt road. Any excuse. Save this for the week you finally cash it in. Dirty Wheels Project Ride Free. Live Raw. by @dirtywheelsproject
First gear fixes most moods. Third fixes the rest. Get your engine roaring with us very soon, Dirty Wheels is coming. #DirtyWheels #RideFreeLiveRaw #Enduro #Lombok #DirtBike #MotoLifestyle #OffTheBeatenPath by @dirtywheelsproject
Coffee with the crew first. Dust after. The only way to start a good day, meet-up with friends, check the track on the map, grab the gear, warm up the engines, the day already started, you were still scrolling. by @dirtywheelsproject
She didn't ask for directions. The need for sunset drives, salty wind, change of temperature in the air, you only know it once you've experienced it. Stay Free. by @dirtywheelsproject
You haven't been lost in years. Think about it. Every road reviewed. Every beach rated. Every "hidden gem" with 4,000 photos tagged to it. We didn't stop exploring because the world ran out of places. We stopped because we're always reachable, always guided, always on a path someone else already walked. Here's the reset, I dare you It takes one morning: 1. Pick a road with no reviews. If Maps can't tell you what's at the end, that's the one... 2. Phone goes in the bag. Not on silent. In the bag, try remembering the route in your head or get lost while trying. 3. Ride until the pavement runs out. Then keep going. Somewhere past the last warung, the noise stops. And the kid who used to climb trees and jump fences, he's still in there. He just needed everyone to stop knowing where he was for an hour or two. The crowds can keep the beach club.
