My Kerry brings us on a journey of this magical place and the kind of inspiration that Kerry provides for our stories, food, music, traditions, culture, art and the céad míle fáilte we share with the world.

@unabennett60 is a contemporary landscape painter, born and raised in London to Irish parents. She has returned to her family's roots in Kerry to expand her painting practice and deepen her engagement with the natural environment.

Through her paintings and her poem Am I Kerry? she explores her relationship with place in the context of questions about identity, heritage and belonging, navigating the space between what feels both deeply familiar and strange.

Her work explores how connections to place develop through sustained attention, experience and participation.

Introducing our ‘My Kerry’ series where the people of Kerry tell us their stories about belonging to this incredible place, and the kind of inspiration that Kerry provides for the food, music, traditional culture, art and the céad míle fáilte we share with the world as second nature to us.

Marie Holden and her husband Brian, a chef, established @westofdingle on the Dingle Peninsula where they collect, filter, evaporate, sift, infuse, prepare, blend, pack and label all their products by hand along the more remote rocky shores of the Dingle Peninsula.

Our marketing manager Jamie on @radiokerry yesterday before been announced as the winner of the Working Together Business Supports package competition 2026 from CSG and Radio Kerry this morning! 🎉

Our own Jamie Ó Flannúra headed to the Grand Final at CSG in Tralee, broadcast live on Kerry Today with Jerry O’Sullivan, to pitch for the family business. Six Kerry businesses made it through to the final, and it was a brilliant group to be part of.

As a family run business, the CSG Advisory Package will help us plan for the long term and future proof Dingle Sea Safari for the next generation. The Radio Kerry advertising is a great chance to remind people across the county of the experience that’s right on their doorstep in Dingle Bay.

One small island. So many stories. 🌊

On Valentia Island, you can follow the footsteps of animals that walked across the land around 385 million years ago, stand where a cable once connected Europe with North America, and visit a lighthouse that has watched over the Atlantic since 1841.

In 1866, Valentia became the European endpoint of the first successful permanent transatlantic telegraph cable, linking the island with Heart’s Content in Newfoundland. Messages that once took weeks to cross the Atlantic could now travel in minutes.

And long before any of that, the island was already telling its story in stone — its famous tetrapod trackways offering a remarkable glimpse into the early movement of vertebrate life onto land.

Three very different chapters. One remarkable island.
