Two major, development proposals to transform the Northside into a regional leader in sports and outdoor activities was met with great anticipation when they were unveiled last year. Since then, you may have wondered what is the latest with these projects at the former Ab Brown Sports Complex and former Riverside Golf Course?

Both are progressing through necessary planning, negotiations, and critical infrastructure studies. In short, all this metaphorical groundwork needs to occur before the actual groundwork of construction can advance through the City’s necessary public hearing and approval processes. Future opportunities for you to be involved in this process will be shared here! by @discoverriverside

Your venue quote looks reasonable. Until you see the full invoice.

Most planners don't account for what happens between the contract and the event: shuttle logistics, coordination overhead, vendor sourcing, and a team stretched thin trying to hold it all together.

Those aren't surprises. They're the predictable cost of planning at a destination that wasn't built for efficiency.

Riverside is different.

Hotels within walking distance of the convention center. Flexible space that scales from 10 to 2,500. A team that handles the logistics so you're not building from scratch every time.

No shuttle budget. No coordination chaos. No sourcing on your own.

Just a destination that makes your job easier before the event even starts.

Submit your RFP.

Swipe through the 60-minute flow audit every planner should run before signing a contract. Riverside checks every box.
