🍓 Have you ever seen a strawberry cake as perfect as this one?

We got this from @rafre_fruit in Seoul, they also make other chiffon cakes just like it.

The fruit was layered so beautifully that every single bite had fresh strawberries 🍓

The sponge was light and airy, and the cream was unbelievably fluffy. It wasn’t overly sweet either!!

The perfect strawberry cake, and one of the best I’ve ever had! 🇰🇷🍰

A must go when you’re in Seoul 🩷

📍 Bánh mì má năm 🇻🇳🫶🏻

My aunt has been selling bánh mì in Vietnam for over 20 years. When I visited 14 years ago, I stayed for a month and had one of her bánh mìs every single day for breakfast. Since then, I’ve thought about her bánh mì constantly.

Her bánh mì is simple yet unforgettable: charcoal-grilled pork and chả, paired with pickled vegetables, fresh cucumbers, chili, and finished with her two signature sauces. To me, it’s more than just a bánh mì – it’s a taste of nostalgia in every bite. 💞

On my recent trip, I finally got to have it again, and it brought back so many emotions. I never realise how deeply food could connect you to the past until that moment.

They’re constantly updating their menu, and this visit came with a whole new gelato machine 🍦 plus new hot dishes, including ribs and roast specials!

For $55.60 per person, you get BBQ, hot pot, a huge selection of sides, a crazy sauce bar and plenty of desserts, including gelato, bingsoo and slushies.

@chefwong_aus is now in Point Cook!! 🥟✨ So you know I had to take Mum to go try it out 💞🫶🏻

And @bep.ba8 definitely had LOTS to say 😂 Would you guys want to see a more detailed mukbang/review with Mum? 👀

Overall, we really enjoyed everything we tried, but our favourites were definitely the BBQ pork pastry and the prawn & scallop dumpling 🤤🥢

I’m honestly so happy they’ve opened in Point Cook because this means I don’t have to drive all the way to the other side of town whenever I’m craving quality yum cha 🙌🏻

One thing Mum especially loved was that you can order dumplings by the piece! Such a simple thing, but it makes dining with odd numbers SO much easier. No more having to agree on one basket to share, everyone can just order the dumplings they actually want and try a bit of everything 🥹💗

Marble Yakiniku is a Japanese yakiniku restaurant specialising in premium Wagyu and Japanese dishes.

The focus here is really on the quality of the meat. Their menu features A5 Japanese Wagyu sourced from regions including Hida, Miyazaki, Kagoshima and Iwate, as well as Australian M9+ Wagyu. With that level of marbling, the beef doesn’t need much, just a quick sear over the grill to get those caramelised edges while keeping it tender and juicy.

Beyond the BBQ, they also have Japanese dishes including sushi, sashimi and Wagyu nigiri, so there’s plenty to share around the table.

Marble Yakiniku has also been recognised with a One Hat from The Age Good Food Guide, including in 2024 — a nice reflection of the restaurant’s focus on quality produce and Japanese dining.
