|| Meet My Tav ||
Orthiana Diirnodel, 180, CN, born and raised in Baldur’s Gate as daughter of Yeslynn, (Star Elf), and Elran, (Moon Elf); the younger twin sister of Ilyana by seven mins. The two are soulmates, always intrinsically linked.

Name Info:
The twins’s names are of Greek origin, Orthiana is inspired by the name ‘Orianthi,’ meaning ‘mountain flower.’ Ilyana is inspired by ‘Iliana,’ meaning ‘sun.’

Their surname, ‘Diirnodel,’ translates to ‘Moonstone’ in Common.

‘Tav’ - the default name in the game. I googled it to find one of its meanings is ‘musical note’ which prompted me to make it her nickname exclusively used by Ilyana

Personality + Backstory:
Confident, charming, deceptive and vain, Orthiana is a woman who has a seemingly untouchable exterior. She can be seen at camp: fixing/tuning her lute, filing her nails, and checking herself in her mirror.

The Diirnodel twins are renowned bards across the Sword Coast. Having the instinct for music since childhood, and taught to value their freedom and individuality, the two trained under various teachers across cities like Waterdeep, Neverwinter, and the Feywild, gaining both musical mastery and cultural insight. Their travels for musical knowledge progressed into adventuring, as they wished to compose more songs based on their own tales.

Ilyana sees herself as Orthiana’s protector, making Orthiana feel infantilised, though she understands her sister’s intentions all too well as she shares the sentiment but she’s more covert with it.

Two weeks before Orthiana’s abduction, she found a note on Ilyana’s lute, which read “I’ll look after it for you Tav” realising Ilyana had left and taken her (Orthiana’s) lute with her.

Using her charm and intuition, Orthiana kept up appearances whilst investigating Ilyana’s disappearance. During this time, she composed ‘Down By The River’ a lament for her beloved sister. She was taken by the nautiloid on her way home from unwinding the Elfsong Tavern, where she’s held in high regard

She woke up on the Nautiloid and…😉

Tysm for these beautiful renders @oliapproves 🖤
