A first look at The Kingmaker directed by @benhammedia I recently had the absolute pleasure of working as the Director of Photography on this film, and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. This was by far the biggest most professional set I’ve ever worked on, and I couldn’t have asked for a more incredible cast and crew to share it with. The Kingmaker represents the next step in my evolution as a cinematographer, and I’m incredibly proud of what we created together. Waking up to a beautiful delivery from @freddiesflowers from my beautiful soul friend @jonnymonk800m 🥹😭 This man is one of the most talented, creative people I’ve ever had the great fortune of working with, and one of the most incredibly sweet, supportive, kind, genuine & lovely humans I have ever had the blessing of calling one of my best friends. Jonny knows I mentor actors and he came to me 5 weeks before shooting started for LAST CALL, because he has never been able to cry in front of people, let alone on cue. We did 4 sessions - FOUR - and he put in so much work, did the exercises I set him, took all the lessons and advice, tips and tricks on board and in our fourth session, he did it, he cried on cue, and then we shot the film and he absolutely SMASHED IT! I couldn’t be more proud of you Jonny.
