So, for my first shadowing experience (out here in my new city) I shadowed a podiatrist. First of all…. working at a gym has its perks. I met her through one of the personal trainers here. I’ve gained so much knowledge during this experience and although a podiatrist isn’t a MD , they are still important doctors with very important roles.

I was shadowing the doctors and student doctors at the local clinic and wound center and I am beyond grateful that I had the opportunity to do so. I saw so many interesting podiatry cases and gained patient care experience.

I cannot wait til my next shadowing opportunity. Until then, we studying for that MCAT 😈

Hey y’all.

It’s been more than a minute . I want to first say thank you for the many new people that followed me, even the ones who still followed and saw that I was barely active. I am glad I am interesting or inspiring enough 🤭.

Any who… LITTLE UPDATE…. My one gap year has turned into two ( WHICH IS FINE). I beat myself up about it of course but being a physician is something I passionately want to pursue.

Long story short … life happened and I got thrown off track a little bit but I am back and I am ready. Although I took a break from prepping for the MCAT and pushed my test back to March of next year , I was doing other things to make sure I can be the best candidate I can be. I took on more volunteering and more shadowing opportunities (which I will share later on).

The goal is to score high in March and enter the 2023-2024 application cycle 🖤

If you read this far I LOVE YOU. And ya girl is back 🤭🖤.

My favorite thing to do obviously is weightlifting. I absolutely love it. I fell in love with it once I got to college. It is very obvious that I favor legs over arms. It’s okay though, I’ll come around to it.🙃
