Research 🧐 shows that less than half (44%) of UK 🇬🇧 employers have formalised their mental health strategies.

Mental health 🧠 seems to have less of a priority than other operational strategies, despite the financial 💷 impact on the organisations bottom line.

At Dittolo we believe formalising a mental health strategy is key 🔑 to ensuring employees get current and appropriate support.

No one should struggle alone with 🧠 mental health. We all need someone to lean on from time to time.🕰️

Check in 🧐 with a mate today, you don’t need to say much, just knowing they are not alone and that someone has their back is enough!

Your support could be a lifesaver!🛟 #wellness #wellbeing #mentalhealth #mentalhealthawareness #friends #support #strongertogether by @dittolo_app

Research suggests the cost of poor mental health to UK employers is over 💷 £100 Billion 💷 every year!

In 2020-2021 the cost to employers of poor mental health from absenteeism, presenteeism and staff turnover increased 📈 by 25% compared to 2019.

Let’s ignore the costs for a moment and 🤔 imagine how many people that equates to who are struggling with poor mental health. It’s estimated 1 in 4 of us.

When businesses 🏢 make an investment decision, it is usually backed up with a business case, justifying the cost and a means to track a return on that investment (ROI).

It’s really difficult to justify a business case for 💷 investing in initiatives to reduce costs if you can’t quantify the cost in the first place.

Unfortunately investing in support for staff struggling with 🧠 mental health because it’s the right ✅ thing to do, doesn’t always get the case across the line.

If you want to know ❓ how much poor mental health could be costing your business and help that case for investment, request a free cost report by emailing us at chattous@dittolo.com #mentalhealthawareness #mentalhealth #cipd #peoplematter #investment by @dittolo_app

"Public stigma involves the negative or discriminatory attitudes that others have about mental illness.
Self-stigma refers to the negative attitudes, including internalised shame 😔 , that people with mental illness have about their own condition."

Stigma unfairly labels 🏷 individuals dealing with mental health 🧠 challenges and is a problem in our society due to a lack of understanding 💡 . A workplace environment that does NOT support open and honest conversations 🤐 around mental health may inadvertently promote a culture of stigma.

Working, 👩🏻‍💻despite not feeling physically or mentally well 🤒enough to perform your role.

Why is this a growing phenomenon in the workplace, and what are the consequences?

At Dittolo, we know there is more to this than meets the 👁️eye. Presenteeism is a sign ⚠️that there are deeper issues affecting the well-being of your staff.

If you want to tackle the real problem, you must first figure 🧐out why your staff are struggling.

✅Employees play a role too – we need to be honest and open when giving feedback to the organisation.

✅To encourage such openness, the organisation needs to establish a secure and reliable method for collecting feedback, and staff must believe it will be handled with utmost confidentiality.
