Every reader knows this feeling.

You walk into a bookstore, browse online for “just a minute,” or see a glowing recommendation on Bookstagram…

And somehow another book finds its way onto your shelf. 📚

Looking at this stack, I may have a tiny book-buying problem.

Or maybe it’s the beginning of something interesting.

It started with borrowed books.

With library cards, due dates, and friends who always had another story to recommend.

Chapitre is my way of holding on to that feeling and sharing it with others.

📖🤍

Here’s to new chapters.

Book Review: I picked this up at the airport, finished it in half a day, and honestly, I had such a good time reading it.

Strange Buildings by Uketsu was such a fun little mystery to unravel. I knew going in that all the buildings and stories were connected, but figuring out exactly how they tied back together was the best part. I loved trying to connect the dots, looking for clues, and slowly understanding how everything fit into the bigger picture. That moment when things finally start making sense? SO satisfying!!!!!!

Now, I do know this is apparently the third book in the series, and yes, I probably should have started with the others. But this was the only one available at the airport, and what can I say? A girl saw a book and made a decision 😁

Thankfully, it was intriguing enough to pull me right in, and I had to keep reading until I understood how everything connected.

Definitely recommend this if you enjoy mysteries that make you think, pay attention to the little details, and piece together a larger puzzle as you read.

Rating: 4/5

P.S. I might have to go back and read the first two now. Because clearly, buying the only available book at the airport was just the beginning of this investigation.

One chapter in, and I’m already hooked! I honestly love it when a book manages to grab my attention right from the beginning and leaves me wanting to know more. Strange Buildings has me curious already, and I can tell I’m going to have a lot of questions as I read on. Let’s see where this one takes me!

The Mysterious Affair at Styles

Where It All Began.

Agatha Christie’s debut novel introduces Hercule Poirot, the brilliant Belgian detective who would go on to become one of the most iconic characters in crime fiction.

Set in an English country house, the story begins with the sudden poisoning of its wealthy owner. As suspicion falls on almost everyone, Poirot carefully pieces together the clues to uncover the truth.

Listening to this as an audiobook made the experience even better. Peter Dinklage’s narration was engaging and brought Poirot to life in a way I thoroughly enjoyed. If you’re new to Agatha Christie, this is the perfect place to begin.

The ABC Murders

Poirot returns to investigate a series of murders that appear to follow a chilling pattern. Each victim’s name and the town where they’re found begin with the next letter of the alphabet, while mysterious letters signed “ABC” arrive before every crime.

What starts as a hunt for a serial killer slowly turns into one of Christie’s cleverest puzzles. I was completely invested from start to finish, and once again, Peter Dinklage’s narration made the audiobook incredibly enjoyable.

No star rating for these classics. Some books simply speak for themselves.

📖 1984 by George Orwell 🎧

I thought I was picking up a dystopian classic.

Instead, I found a story that felt disturbingly relevant.

This audiobook completely immersed me from start to finish, and I couldn’t stop listening.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

➡️ Swipe to read my thoughts.

I spent most of this book hoping Winston would somehow find a way out.

The performances by Andrew Garfield and Andrew Scott, combined with the incredible sound design, made every chapter even more impactful.

But what stayed with me wasn’t just the ending.

It was realizing how easily truth can be shaped by those in power—and how relevant that still feels today.

➡️ One final verdict on the next slide.

Diva Verdict

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This isn’t just one of the best dystopian novels I’ve experienced.

It’s a story that challenges, unsettles, and lingers long after it’s over.

If you’re thinking of reading 1984, I can’t recommend the audiobook enough.

⭐️ My first 5-star read. And I don’t think I could’ve picked a better book for it.

I went into The Seven Year Slip expecting a magical romance. Instead, I found a story that met me exactly where I was.

I read this at a time when I was feeling really demotivated and had started looking at life through a very pessimistic lens. Somewhere between the magical apartment, Iwan’s cooking, and Clementine’s journey, this book quietly reminded me that life still has a way of surprising us.

The aunt completely stole the show for me. She wasn’t perfect. She spent years running before life had the chance to test her, and yet she was warm, adventurous, and so beautifully human. She’ll always be my favourite character.

I closed this book feeling lighter than when I opened it, and I honestly can’t ask for more from a story than that.
