Guatemala, you had my heart before I even arrived…

I was in love with Guatemala before my feet ever touched the ground. There was something about this country that had already captured my imagination and somehow, it exceeded every expectation.

The clean air, breathtaking views, incredible food, vibrant colors, warm and friendly culture… every part of this trip was beautiful. 🌿✨

But what made it truly special was sharing it with my beautiful daughters @madiiibabyyy_ & @dylannicoleriley laughing, exploring, eating, and creating memories together that we’ll cherish forever. ❤️ And celebrating @infinite_possibilities75 birthday in such a beautiful place made it even sweeter!

I came expecting to love Guatemala…

As I reflect on this birthday, my heart is full of gratitude.

This year reminded me that true wealth has very little to do with what we own and everything to do with the people God places in our lives. I am incredibly blessed with family who loves me deeply and friendships that have carried me through every season. Some of those friendships span nearly 30 years, and they remain treasures I never take for granted.

What has been especially meaningful this year is celebrating alongside friends God brought into my life more recently—friends who arrived during a season of growth, healing, and new beginnings. They have encouraged me, laughed with me, shown up for me, and reminded me that God’s blessings are not limited to one chapter of life. Sometimes He expands our circle exactly when we need it most.

People often say, “No new friends,” but my life would not be the same if I had subscribed to that philosophy. Some of the greatest gifts of this season have been the beautiful souls God has added to my journey. Their friendship has enriched my life in ways I never could have imagined.

Thank you to everyone who celebrated with me, sent a message, made a call, shared a memory, gave a gift, or simply took a moment to wish me a happy birthday. I felt loved, seen, and deeply blessed.

At 51, I feel rich—not because of what I have, but because of WHO I have. Here’s to God’s faithfulness, lifelong friendships, unexpected blessings, and a heart overflowing with gratitude. 🤎
