The ocean is far more vast than our minds can imagine 🪸💭.

The diversity of fish in colors, sizes, shapes, and survival strategies, is so enormous that even seeing a small part of this underwater universe becomes a meaningful starting point from now on 🐠🐟.

The medregal jack or amberjack (𝙎𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙤𝙡𝙖 𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙤𝙡𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙖) is a large predatory species . In Cabo Pulmo, we can find them at cleaning stations and hunting smaller fish along the reefs . They move incredibly fast and can reach over 1.3 meters in length!

We aim to appreciate every single organism, from the smallest to the largest 🐚. Life exists in many different forms, and being able to see it underwater is a privilege, one that those who dive can proudly share 🤿.

We’ve had an unexpected visitor on our reefs 🧐🪸.

This is a Batfish (𝘗𝘭𝘢𝘵𝘢𝘹 𝘵𝘦𝘪𝘳𝘢). Although beautiful and graceful, it is not native to this region. Batfish belong to the Indo-Pacific, and its presence here may reflect changes in oceanic distribution patterns 😵‍💫.

Today, even marine species are affected by the consequences of globalization 🌎. Although it may seem exciting to observe this species here, its presence can alter local ecosystem dynamics and also affect the batfish itself, as it interacts with unfamiliar species and environmental conditions.

As if the jacks weren’t enough show to delight us 🦭🐟.

Cabo Pulmo is one of the greatest scuba destinations for divers 🤿, but we’re not the only ones that take advantage of the plenty life that cover its ocean.

As is this playful sea lion, all of the especies in Cabo Pulmo work together to feed each other, maintaining the balance of the ecosystem and allowing life to keep growing and spreading 🌊 🌎.

The magnificence of the ocean represented by its creatures 🐟 🌊.

It’s amazing to see how the sea lives on its own, but also gives life to a vast diversity of life. This time spent among cow nose rays and a bigeye trevally school, our presence felt like the smallest expression of life admiring the vast underwater world 🤿.
