Yesterday’s dive trip with unexpected visitor! The cutest underwater encounter, face-to-face with grey seal🦭 by @divearan

It’s that time of year again...Basking Shark season in Ireland! The west coast of Ireland is the summer house to the second largest fish in the world, the Basking Shark (Cetorhinus maximus). They gather around here during the summer months to court and feed on plankton.

Keep your eyes open 👀 & remember to report any sightings, and be respectful in encounters with these animals, which are protected in Ireland! 🦈

The kelp was my favourite, but the soft corals were also unreal you could see every single polyp!
Thanks @divearan for the adventure 🤿
